If we sell Kebe and McAnuff we could then play them both in a 46 games heads up competition to see whos better?!

Come on chairman - give the fans what they want!

HRK was absent Saturday, whereas Antonio was very good indeed. How much of that can be attributed to going back to Saint's I don't know. If Antonio can keep scoring from the wing though its a no brainer.

Lets just hope Kebe's fit.

Kebe'll be fit for Scunny according to the OS, but I'd hope Antonio came on for him instead of HRK.

I'd hope McDermott picks the players in form however I reckon HRK will be given the chance, based on him being more senior. I also think he'll play Long, when clearly Church has looked much better in pre-season.

HRK is assumed to be more senior, however I believe Antonio has more 1st team experience.

I'm just so glad that James Henry is no longer in their way.

HRK League and Cup Games at Championship and Div 1 Levels - 40+18 sub 9 goals (Reading, Swindon and Southend)

Antonio League and Cup appearances at Championship and League 1 and 2 Levels 24+20 5 goals (Reading, Southampton and Cheltenham)

So HRK has more experience and has scored more goals.

That would be the same James Henry who had a hand in two of his new clubs goals yesterday.

I presume Antonio just had an off day on Saturday? - his first touch was woeful, when the ball was passed to him he controlled it by allowing the ball to move 2 foot away from his foot giving the defender more time to intercept. Personally i would have taken Long off instead of McAnuff and put Rasiak up top to win the headers from the pointless long balls we were playing from the back.

Who would you rather have had? A more injured McAnuff or an injured Long? No-brainer surely?

:? McAnuff wasn't injured, that was Karacan....

I was sat in the West on Saturday right by the dugout and McAnuff said to Gibbs when he was subbed, something along the lines of "why me?" - to which the reply was "we needed to change things around"

McAnuff wasn't pleased to being subbed

McAnuff took a knock on the ankle just before half time.

It could be that they had that in the back of their mind when taking him off and almost protecting him from himself (although I'd have thought any further damage to his ankle would've been done already).

I agree that he was the last player I'd have taken off if there wasn't something else in their head though. Next to Sigurdsson he's still our most potent attacking threat, and I'd never take him off if we're chasing a goal.

Interesting to hear on the radio before the game that Dellor see's him as a bit of a leader amonst the players.

and thats the way it looked in the game too.
rather than change the wingers though id have preferred to try and pass itr to the ones we had 1st

If Jobi wasn't injured, he'll be off to QPR after being subbed instead of Shane Long.

Obviously I disagree on the Kebe vs McAnuff debate, but Kebe just didn't get in the game at all and apart from the first few minutes before we went a goal down, McAnuff looked a lot more threatening than Kebe.

I think the injury must've played a part in taking him off, even if he didn't want to come off, and even if that isn't what Gibbs said to him at the time.
