I bet Oliver Langford was shitting himself on Saturday after his display on Wednesday. Must be hard going into a game knowing you were awful, beyond awful actually, in the previous game. Cant wait to see the gleeful update of "Langford reffing Vanarama National game next weekend".

Yes Seth, but is this harsh? I guess it's not just the ref, the others need to be 'appraised' too. The ref isn't the only one on the park. If none of the others raise a flag then what is the ref to think? And aren't refs allowed cockups like we all are? Having said this, I think there's a difference between a football player cocking up a technical skill like kicking a ball in the wrong direction in heat of the moment and a ref, who to be fair only has one job, screwing it up. And I suppose the buck stops with the ref. Linesmen etc are there to help only.

On a human to human level yes it is harsh but with the big picture the Ref is there to do a job and he didn't do it last Wednesday.

I would be shocked if he wasn't punished in some way after that. Forget the result and forget that we are fans, even neutrals were saying it was shocking. The Second Tier podcast called it one of the worst ref performances they have ever seen.

The lino not spotting the handball was pretty bad tbf.

Lino had a worse view, Reach's body completely blocked his view.

It's not the handball that's the problem... it's the Richards, Baldock and Laurent fouls that at least one of them each had a good view of, Baldock both of them.

He’s shocking. Never a straight red and barely a penalty. Absolute wet wipe pcunt, needs euthanising.

I thought the incident was very similar to the one that he didn't give on Richards. The Richards one if anything was clearer (maybe through hooped glasses) So has he learnt from that incident and maybe why he gave the pen?
