Well, er... they both are white and have dark hair and beards. I'm convinced
Surely if this is true he'd train up alongside his old boss?...Walcott is off as he wants to go into coaching...
Suspect the appeal of playing for Selles in League One was partially because he couldn't play at the highest level any longer.morganb wrote:Has he announced any backroom staff that are joining alongside him as I saw this comment on Twitter:

Walcott deal is not definitely off. Selles said that Theo asked if he could come to Reading and subsequently joined for a couple of training sessions and is now on holiday while he considers what he wants to do with his career, he may choose to go down a coaching route, he may opt for a final season as a player. At this point no-one knows.morganb wrote:Has he announced any backroom staff that are joining alongside him as I saw this comment on Twitter:

Well people often complain about sideways passing.Sutekh wrote:Apparently Selles likes teams to play vertical football, anyone able to translate what that actually means?

"Aimless" is the key difference. Even with a decent plan, direct football can involve low pass percentages, but if the completed passed hurt the opposition that's fine.PieEater wrote:There seems to be a fine line between a vertical pass and an aimless hoof forward.
Oh, good old fashioned Ian Branfoot ball then!Snowflake Royal wrote:Well people often complain about sideways passing.Sutekh wrote:Apparently Selles likes teams to play vertical football, anyone able to translate what that actually means?
So I'd say it means he wants his team to get up and down the pitch and go direct at goal rather than piss about with lots of horizontal passes going nowhere fast.
