It suits him though - if he is confident it was all down to him they won the FA Cup and CL then he will have no worries - if they still "sack" him to bring in Pep then it will have a good CV to get a decent job elsewhere....

I don’t think it ever suits a manager to have less than a year to run on his contract. AVB got £12m for a few months work, Di Matteo is probably earning a fraction of that with a guaranteed ‘sacking’ when Pep comes out of retirement.
