They seem to have, under Chris Davies, the obsession that we sometimes had under Paunovic of playing out from the back but without the players with enough confidence and ability to pull it off successfully. In League One most of the few goals they have conceded have come from overplaying around their own box. They’ve also got away with it a few more times too but the chances of getting away with the errors will reduce in the Championship and they will concede more comedy goals next season as i cant see Davies adapting or changing his playing style.

Looking at their final three, we need them to drop at least 5pts to even level it and that includes games against Mansfield and Cambridge, could see Blackpool getting a win, especially with the tight schedule they have but as for the points record? Looks gone.

The range of budgets and capabilities of teams is vastly wider in Tier 3 than the Championship, so it'd far easier to just fund a team that will steamroller themselves to the top and potential records. The Championship has far less range, far greater budgets across all the teams, and a far lower "range" of abilities. Plus you'll always be competing against at least 3 teams with PL parachute payments.
