Maybe because there hasn't been a bid for him.Philly Flyer wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/crystal_palace/7585824.stm
Proposed Lee deal on the BBC site. No mention of Watson...
THey are in desperate need of strikers as they only have 1 or 2 at the moment. He seems to have been getting rid of them at Palace rather than signing them. They have only scored 2 goals in 5 matches this season and both of those were against Hereford.Barry the bird boggler wrote:Why should that matter? With Colin in charge they'll always be after strikers.
Haven't we been here before? And remember what happened then - CP beat us 3:0 and CP got promoted at the end of the season. Those were the days when the bald oxf*rd was still playing for CP.Wycombe Royal wrote:THey are in desperate need of strikers as they only have 1 or 2 at the moment. E) Colin won't do business with us.Kevin Doyles Right Foot wrote:Coppell won't sign him because either:
A) He doesn't fit the attitude or criteria we look for in a team player
B) Our of our pROFlice range
C) Contract demands too high
D) Hammond is too lazy to actually buy a decent fcuking player instead of ringing up Cork city and telling them to send over there best player.
He doesn't get a say, that would be Simon Jordan's authority. That said, he doesn't like us much either.Platypuss wrote:

F) We just wont spend £2m on one player at this level.Platypuss wrote:E) Colin won't do business with us.Kevin Doyles Right Foot wrote:Coppell won't sign him because either:

I can't believe some on here really think palace would refuse to do business with Reading on Warnocks say so!!FiNeRaIn wrote:He doesn't get a say, that would be Simon Jordan's authority. That said, he doesn't like us much either.Platypuss wrote:

Besides, why would ben watson want to come to us? Why make a sideways step?
Exactly. There will only be hope of this going through if we are to lose a midfielder.Barry the bird boggler wrote:Reading are interested in Watson but are unlikely to do anything unless pushed into it through the loss of other players e.g. Harper. As mentioned above the biggest problem with any deal would be that Palace's management have a bit of a history with members of the Reading management and therefore we would probably have no choice but to pay an over the odds sum for the player which is not something the club would do. Therefore, IMO, the chances of this deal happening are minimal.
LOL, you're an utter moron.Royal Lady wrote:Jordan does indeed not like Coppell. He's also a smug, egocentric. Surprised he doesn't get on better with Mr Mad to be honest.

Maybe Madejski should leave and you can go back to watching League 2 football with the few hundred other retards blaming Madejski for Coppell's lack of bottle.Streets wrote:She isn't wrong though.
