I'm getting a bit pissed off with the comparison to Keys and Gray. Whilst on the face of it, what Carragher did was worse, he has appologized unreservedly, made no excuses and accepted that he fcuked up. I seem to remember Keys and Gray played the victims and persisted with the "Just a bit of banter" defence.

Yeah, I was going to add that the Keys/Gray recording was leaked by a female member of staff fed up with the endemic misogyny so hardly an isolated incident.

Carragher can't complain if he gets the sack but I'm very much in the "2 strikes and you're out" camp because it does seem out of character. However reprehensible his actions, I'm not sure his whole media career should end up being defined by 20 seconds of fcukwittery.
