I was convinced I must have made it up as it was the Branfoot era and we played some absolutely dire hoofball until I saw a video the other day and Mick Tait, Trevor Senior and Steve Moran did indeed score a couple of absolute beauties in it.

Goals No 9, 5 and 2 in this countdown

Thanks for that.
Good memories.
That Hicks free kick v Chelsea

Imagine, if Smilie and Gilkes were players on Reading's books last season, neither would have got a game as they play the ball forward and run toward the goal too much!
The Hicks free kick was hit so clean that the ball didn't seem to be rotating at all as it flew in.
Great goal from Gilkes from his own flick on to Horrix and a delicious through ball, as well

Well, he could stay away enough not to sign a deal

Interesting* that he came to watch us when his current club were also playing last night.

Apparently one of the best players most had ever seen on the training pitch. Shame he was shit on the actual pitch.

Not in the same class as Coppell's windmill.

Danzell's brother rumoured to be off to Liverpool while he, himself, joins Karmiotissa in Cyprus.

Sheffield Wednesday have submitted official loan bids for Newcastle United duo, Isaac Hayden and Jeff Hendrick, with the Owls keen to bring the NUFC pair in before the window closes. Talks ongoing at this point in time.

Lol sometimes players just don’t work or fit at clubs. I’m sure Hendricks is a good player. You don’t play that many international games (79) for the ROI and get snapped up by premier league teams if your shit. He just didn’t really hit it off here. He could do well for another team

Problem is that it's now Newcastle, QPR and us where it hasn't really worked out for him. Three clubs in a row isn't a good sign.

He was a good player. Now he's a bang average player with lead in his boots.
