The people defending Lita here a missing a very big point.

He was arrested and had to be released on bail.

That is ALL that matters. Circumstances mean shit.

If there was nothing to this he wouldn't have been arrested and he wouldn't have had to have been bailed.

As far as coppell will see this, one of his players who is already on a warning was arrested in a similar incident to the first warning. I.e Violence in the early hours.

Lita is an absolute prat if he thought he'd get away with this.

And if this is over something as petty as an argument with his girl then that actually makes this even worse not more excusable.

I think this is being blown out of all proportion by the sensation hunting people on here. If, what the Sun has reported is true then it sounds like he had a barny with his missus which lead to an unfortunate bust up with a mate of his resulting in a headbutt. The fact it was in a nightclub in Bristol is irrelevant. The same thing could have happened anywhere. It doesn't sound like he went out of his way to get into trouble, it just happened after an argument with his missus. It makes me laugh the moral majority on here getting their collective knickers in a twist over an incident where nobody knows the facts - its a shame that everyone seems to be hanging him out to dry before hearing the whole story. My opinion is that we should wait until the full story is known before spouting forth anymore crap on here.

also as far as I know you don't tend to bring someone in to question them about GBH, thats a pretty specific charge for an incident like this. If they wanted to question him they'd probably be talking about assault. At least that s my take on this.

FFS Spacey, he has not been found guilty of an offence as yet but it is patently obvious that he was involved in something at the weekend. That is the crux of the matter at this time. This was a result of being somewhere he had promised the management of the club he would not be. Can you not see that he has screwed up royally here?

The eventual outcome of any investigation is open for discussion when done.

He was opublically warned about his "public profile" last season when he was glassed out in Bristol. Coppell quite rightly expects his players to behave on and off the pitch.

I was doing the shopping just now in my Reading shirt and someone came up to me and the first thing they said was 'What a silly boy that Lita is, his attitude stinks.' He's giving us a bad name and when you speak to the majority of fans who see him play week in, week out, they'll say his attitude is wrong and although he has the ability, the commitment isn't there, or at least focussed properly.

Sorry but totally wrong (trust me on this, the clue's in my user name). There's no real correlation between bailing and charging. It's almost certain he's been bailed pending further enquiries, i.e. the taking of a victim/witness statements. Then more than likely he'll answer his bail and then be interviewed again before any decision is made on charging.

The fact that his 'friend' has a broken cheek bone is really not good news. Based on experience I would expect this to end up in at least an ABH conviction if there are independent witnesses willing to make statements and/or good CCTV footage. There is, however, always the possibility that the 'friend' withdraws the allegation in which case Leroy would have no case to answer - some money exchanging hands might make this unlikely scenario more likely. I would say it will boil down to the relationship between Leroy and the victim as to what the outcome is.

Whatever happens though it will take a while for the whole process to go through (potentially the entire season if not longer).

It do not matter how good he is,his attitude stinks and our club(As far as I can remember)never had such a big headed player in its history and he struts about like he owns the place.A few months in the chokey will bring him down a peg or two.

I think Leroy's been a very very silly man who's shown a massive lack of integrity and honesty towards a) himself, b) Reading FC and Steve Coppell in particular. For that fact alone he should be punished. We know for a fact that he went on a night out in Bristol immediately after returning from the Wigan game and that goes completely against the word that he gave Steve in February. As a result he should be punished for that. Leroy has bought himself, Reading FC, and football in general into disrepute with his actions. If he stays at the club, which I think he will, he'll be in a last chance saloon. Any more activity of this sort and he should be shipped out because this is NOT the sort of publicity Reading FC desires, or is used to.
