Red card was indeed overturned for TMc, but has fractured his ankle and as such is out for the rest of the season.

Such a shame, a really likeable player, but has really suffered with injuries.

Sad for TMac, very likeable player who had every reason to accept a move to Portsmouth. No reason to mock him or take satisfaction from this.

At the same time, it would be hilarious if these injuries cost Pompey promotion. I think they announced 3 out for the season today and they're not the first. I'm really hoping for Bolton, Peterborough and Barnsley to go up and then hopefully we can finish above Pompey, Derby and Oxford next season.

I don't think anyone's laughing at McIntyre particularly*, more the whole situation of an injury prone player moving to a rival club for what many see as a below a fair price, , then getting a season ending injury on debut.

That's certainly quite ironic. Its also Pompey so any misfortune befalling them is, by default, funny.

It's not funny at all for Tom and I feel for him, it is funny for the Pompey twitter fans saying they'd mugged us and bigging up the player to be something he clearly isn't.

It vindicates the move for TMac. If he was still here the injury would be a disaster with his contract up in the summer; he would have been an injured player desperately searching for a gig. As it is, he has 2 years to force himself back into the team at Portsmouth.
