How are they luxury players when they are also our top scorers?
Take out Swifts goals this year and Joao's last, and we've had been lower mid last year/already relegated thisI'd describe it as a player who wasn't a necessity in the team, maybe adds entertainment and the odd great goal or bit of play. Not someone who the team is relying on to score goals
In fairness, yes, it's not an exact definition but it's the closest term I could think of to describe them. Again, they aren't players who will cover every blade of grass, that's not their style of play, but they are players with great quality that needs to be brought out.Hound wrote:hmm maybe thats your definitionYorkshireRoyal99 wrote:Luxury players are typically described as "gifted footballers" that don't tend to work as hard defensively. Where have you seen that?blythspartan wrote:Please tell me that Vladan Milojevic is a wind up?
A troll Twitter account run by a guy pretending to be a journalist and using a picture of an American Football Coach.YorkshireRoyal99 wrote:Where have you seen that?blythspartan wrote:Please tell me that Vladan Milojevic is a wind up?
Posted from a fake journo Twitter account, so should be.blythspartan wrote:Please tell me that Vladan Milojevic is a wind up?
Until the Dai's see it and think it's a great idea.Stranded wrote:Posted from a fake journo Twitter account, so should be.blythspartan wrote:Please tell me that Vladan Milojevic is a wind up?
Sorry, I’m in full agreement about Warnock, my point was about Ismael. He is a fraud.PATRIQT wrote:Has to be Warnock. He's exactly what we need.NathStPaul wrote:Neil Warnock.PATRIQT wrote:
Name a more passionate manager who's available right now?

yeah would agree with that tbh, certainly in previous years. Seems to have just become a bog standard workhorse this year which isnt really what i want to see out of himSnowflake Royal wrote:You'd be right.Hound wrote:hmm maybe thats your definitionYorkshireRoyal99 wrote:

Luxury players are ones you can (or can't) afford to have the rest of the team carry because they occasionally do something great.
Whereas at various times Joao and Swift have carried the team.
Ejaria is much closer to a luxury. Flash git, rarely delivers.
wonder if Dai still has his number...wouldn't be the worst appointmentHendo wrote:Like Mark Bowen?windermereROYAL wrote:If Kia has anything to do with it you can forget a British manager.
did a great job with Barnsley tbf. Horrible to watch but they were near unstoppable last year in the league with him in chargeJohn Smith wrote:Sorry, I’m in full agreement about Warnock, my point was about Ismael. yeah and according to some pauno did a great job last season too and how has that worked out. Every manager can get one off flash in the pan season. We should be steering clear of people like this. we need a manager who has proven themselves to be competent over a number of seasons.Hound wrote:did a great job with Barnsley tbf. Yeah, I am expecting a dead cat bounce. With mentality so fragile right now any positive result could see us go on a bit of a recovery run of results.Hound wrote:don't think its caused irreparable damage to the ability of the team to play, but there's still a hell of struggle to stay up caused by that ridiculous run of defeats. Basically need to do better than Derby and co for the rest of the season, very much 3 from 4. A lot of pressure there to get results with some tough games to play. Even 3 or 4 points in that period would have made us a lot more comfortableSnowflake Royal wrote:If / when he goes, we'll find whether his last 8 games have caused irreparable damage or not.
I think recent games suggest not. There's no confidence and we concede a lot, but we're creating chances. Joao has scored a couple, Meite looks good.
New voice, better organisation a spawny result and it could easily all flood back.
u23s are playing at the moment, so I wouldn't expect anything whilst that is going on.windermereROYAL wrote:It`s not happening is it, i will put my bunting away till the end of the pandemic.
