Just a general comment that if you have the time to spare, Zambia's 1994 AFCON is one for a sit down and a long read. The Reading link is Ian Porterfield taking over, just missing out on the 1994 world cup and taking them a long way into the AFCON that year. From Despair To Where? wrote:It was definitely in the Elm Park days.
I think a lot of the interest around him was down to the fact that it was only an injury that prevented him being on the Zambian team plane that crashed, killing everyone on board.
They were tipped to win the 1994 ACON.

And has just been "promoted" to manager/head coach at Maldon and oversaw their 5-2 win at Stowmarket (who have not won all season) last night. Maldon are now 10th in the Isthmian North Division (tier 8.).rabidbee wrote:Yeah. Apparently Curo played an Isthmian League match (at 48!!) for Maldon & Tiptree as recently as last month.
Ah - bollox; pleased for Jamie; sad for Marcus Stewart (who I always rated).RG30 wrote:Maybe they were getting confused with Marcus Stewart? I thought he was alright, very fast and direct. Looked like the Shermanator. IIRC manager changes at both clubs and his loan got cut short. From Despair To Where? wrote:Ex loanee Josh Sims scores the winner in Ross County's first ever win over Rangers.
