Indeed. “league one is fun”
Still enjoying it more than the Championship.
I think up until yesterday this season has certainly been more fun than going to games for the last few seasons. It’s mainly because the youngsters have given me fresh hope and I have been willing Selles to do well. Also, visiting all of the old grounds again has been great.
However, yesterday finished the fun off for me as Selles isn’t learning. A team that should be full of energy is being overrun and too easy to play against. I am sick to death of hearing the same bollox shortly after and before every game only for the same old shite to be served up. I now realise that we haven’t even hit rock bottom yet.
Sadly, if we still have a football club next season I think it’ll be in League Two and playing my adopted team who currently sit top of the National League.
It's more enjoyable for me, because I can see a brighter future with just a couple of changes. That was impossible in the Champ, the playing squad was just wrecked and everything we were doing was wrong.
The difference between this squad competing at the top and the bottom is manager, owner, feel good factor and experience.
This squad could narrowly stay up in 20th, and with only a couple of playinh staff additions be right up there next season.
It is all down to owner. If that changes the whole feel around the club changes. No more protests. Everyone looking forward.
Go down with Dai and we're heading to oblivion. Go down with a new owner with money and we can afford to make a big loss for a season rather than cut to the bone, and we'll have a squad with talent light years ahead of most players in L2.
It's all about how awful Dai is, and we're finally seeing the first steps in the pcunt going.
I'm mostly numb to the pain now. And as I said, it's over one way or another in the next year or two
And I would far rather look to a positive future in a shite now, than bemoan what the next disaster may or may not be.
There is always next season. Until there isn't.
