Yeah that is weird, never know anyone trigger 2 years though, it's usually just an extra year,

I think it's poor wording rather than activating any clause which was in his previous contract.

The comments on the matchwatch thread for that game should be fun in the build up! Or indeed after the game.

Looks like Leam wanted to hold on triggering the contract extension until he knew exactly what Abrefa can offer (and sometimes even deliver)

I'd quite like us to sell Savage. We have 4 central / defensive midfielders on the books that we had last year, and we went the entire season without ever getting the balance right. I think we're missing a "water carrier' Harper type player who brings a bit of control. But we definitely don't need 5 players in that position.

Ideally, 1 in and 1 out. Balance the squad and the finances.

Chron suggesting we are pushing hard for Onyedinma

Was apparently player of the year there last year. Seems a sensible signing if we can get hold of him

He was also alluding (on X) to Ilmari Niskanen potentially arriving as well.

Thanks. I’ve completely broken the X habit now so will have to rely on here for rumours now

Who is the Collins guy I’ve seen mentioned? Would hope he’s a striker given Niskanen is a left back.

Niskanen looks a decent option.

Archie Collins, MF. Contract just expired at P'boro. Would most likely be a Savage replacement. Have seen that Stockport, Leicester, Pox, Wednesday are apparently all keen as well.

Thanks! Should be reasonably decent then with those clubs linked.

Players are back training on Monday I believe, therefore presume Fred (if he’s coming) will just sign on next Wednesday (1st July).

Expect the next 7 days or so to be fairly active signings wise :?

Collins on paper also looks a decent signing if we can. 6 solid seasons in a row, last 4 at div1

Another former Exeter player. He’s out of contract on 30th June so presume we’ll hear more then if there’s any truth in things.

Now we’ve probably spent the transfer fee budget it looks like it’s back to the best (hopefully) of the freebies 8)
