I don't know if anyone has had to watch an elderly relative get seriously old and start losing their memory, physical capabilities and faculties. Having recently experienced it, watching Reading is a similar experience right now. I barely recognise the club, it's a shell of what it used to be, I know it's only likely to get worse and there's nothing I can do to stop it.

This just feels like the norm now. I had a lot of fresh hope this season, but it’s been shit for years now.

We have seen games like last night too many times now - frankly the opposition doesn't matter. Play like a bunch of competition winners but somehow end the half still in the game at 1-0 down.

Improvement in the second half, leading to an equaliser and a spell of pressure where a second goal looks likely to come but never does. Team tire and tail off, allowing the opposition to re-take the momentum and advantage - they miss a couple of guilt edge chances to re-take the lead.

We someone get a foothold back in the game before missing a late, glorious chance to take the lead - almost immediately this then leads to us gifting up a chance at the other end that the opposition take.

It's a script that is well worn and frankly predictable. As is that we will probably go and beat Pompey at the weekend, just because we have close to zero chance of actually doing so.

Remember I singlehandedly lead the charge to get people to block him, more than anyone else has done. I repeatedly 'warned' people I'd block them if they quoted him. People have gradually picked up on the idea but they're still not blocking, and still quoting.

If you open readingfc.co.uk in chrome, go to match centre and start the live stream. Got to settings (...) in chrome, select cast.. and select the TV. When on TV, expand the stream on the pc using the icon in the bottom right corner.
