Madness isn't it. He's not the manager he was - believes his own hype maybe? Mind you, he always did. It's like having in charge a cross between Capello and Di Canio.Royal Rother wrote:Lampard or Mata? Mata or Lampard?
Hmmmmm.
Will Mourinho keep this going all season long just so he can prove that he's in charge? Silly man.

With Sturridge the best striker in the league, Lukaku arguably a close second - would be great to see Mata move to a rival in January (he'd be brilliant at United) and help them to the title.
Yeah, it was tongue in cheek.jd82 wrote:You point still sort of stands, butSanguine wrote:Madness isn't it. He's not the manager he was - believes his own hype maybe? Mind you, he always did. Aguero?? Suarez?
You'd think he wouldn't have come back if he wasn't given assurances about control... given his last experience there. From Despair To Where? wrote:It seem simple enough to me, Lukaku wants regular football which Chelsea can't or won't offer him and it's all smoke and mirrors from Mourinho to save face. It's no different to what Lukaku has been saying for the past 3 years.
I get the feeling Mourinho doesn't have full say in squad selection. Can't help but feel that Willian and Etoo are Abramovich signings and he has to play them, likewise Torres is a big, big money signing who he is pressurised to play and Ba simply can't handle the pressure of expectation.
Willian may well be considering the manner of his purchase but I would think Eto'o would be a Mourinho approved signing given the fact they've worked together before at Inter. From Despair To Where? wrote:It seem simple enough to me, Lukaku wants regular football which Chelsea can't or won't offer him and it's all smoke and mirrors from Mourinho to save face. Agreed that it's smoke and mirrors in some way. I'm just genuinely perplexed as to what Mourinho is trying to imply. From Despair To Where? wrote:It seem simple enough to me, Lukaku wants regular football which Chelsea can't or won't offer him and it's all smoke and mirrors from Mourinho to save face. he's a massive cunt. From Despair To Where? wrote:But, despite his success, Mourinho wasn't much liked in Italy or Spain. At least in England the press and Chelsea fans will stroke his ego to the desired level so maybe he will put up with a bit more than previously.
