Birmingham will falter. I saw Krystian Bielik yesterday saying something like "we're too good for League One and will go up" or something. It adds unnecessary pressure and ironically he also said about remaining humble.

Insulting and many clubs will feel provoked by this kind of thing. They'll get the odd draw, some injuries and then the losses will follow around January onwards.

They'll get promoted but on about 95 points.

If any team should break it it is Brum this season. The amount they've spent in comparison to the rest of the league is ridiculous and a huge advantage. 'Should do' means nothing though. I'm still betting (hoping) that they don't break it.

Even if they do, it's nothing compared to what the 106 Reading team achieved. Not a team that spent a ton of money, or a relegated team with any parachute payments (like Leicester or Burnley in the last couple years), but a club that spent no more than a couple of million with nearly every player in the squad having never even played top flight football.

They only lost 3 times; well, thats 50% more games than we lost, and we went 33 games unbeaten at one stage.

And admitting that they eased off after winning promotion shows they weren't that good a team.

I reckon the 106 team would have beaten his Burnley side easily.

Incidentally, I reckon in time the numbers in each division will gradually reduce because the poor loves get a little bit tired playing so much football despite the massive squads and ludicrous upper limit on substitutions so the likelihood of the record being broken will become less and less.

We know what a fantastic achievement it was and we will always be the first to have reached 106.

Incidentally, I reckon in time the numbers in each division will gradually reduce because the poor loves get a little bit tired playing so much football despite the massive squads and ludicrous upper limit on substitutions so the likelihood of the record being broken will become less and less.

Reading won the title that year with just 25 different players featuring in the league - incl. 3 that each just made 1 appearance (Dobson, Golbourne & Osano)

Came here to see if anyone had posted something about this. I'm not sure how you can say something like that when a team loss less games than you, won more games than you, scored more goals than you and conceded less goals than you? I hope he bumps into a member of the 106 squad in his current role and they can politely point out to him how wrong he is. Fool*.

*I know I should not let what he has said get to me, but yet, for reason it has. Probably because I live in the North West and know a load of Burnley fans and they kept telling me how they were going to smash our record. Oh, how smug I was. Still doesn't make Bellamy any less of a gormless tw@ for saying though.

I still think they will blow up at some point, nice to see an unfashionable side up there setting the pace.

It`s a very similar record that they have from our side that won our first 13 games, we hit the wall after Christmas too.

Yep think there are comparisons with Ian Branfoot's 1985/86 side, very hardworking and get on the right end of the score often through late goals. Would be great to see them out point Wrexham and Brum but don't see them yet as a 106 threat
