Doesn't sound unfortunate. Sounds soft. Maybe we weren't doing too badly before, but it counts for nothing if they barely have to work to take the lead.Snowflake Royal wrote:Unfortunate.

It was unfortunate, because we had been defending well, and the striker just managed to toe poke it under a flying Pereira who had most of the goal covered.WestYorksRoyal wrote:Doesn't sound unfortunate. Is it surprising with our two best defenders injured?Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We were so much more solid last season, now we look like we'll concede under every attack.
And the better two both sold.Snowflake Royal wrote:Is it surprising with our two best defenders injured?Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We were so much more solid last season, now we look like we'll concede under every attack.
That's a factor yes, but I also believe tactics and style of play do us no favours. We give possession back to the opposition far too easily which puts us under pressure.Snowflake Royal wrote:Is it surprising with our two best defenders injured?Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We do, that's certainly true. But that's a characteristic of a struggling team as much as any sort of style or tactic.Royal_jimmy wrote:That's a factor yes, but I also believe tactics and style of play do us no favours. Tbf, most of our goals come from outside the box, so why touch it inside?Mid Sussex Royal wrote:Another tactical masterclass.....touches in opposition box, Stockport 22, Reading 0.

27 Sep 2025 15:52We've not looked solid at the back all season, a lot is due to our midfield being so weak offering no protection. Don't tend to win second balls and allow teams to pass through us too easilySnowflake Royal wrote:Is it surprising with our two best defenders injured?Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. That's what I meant by toothless and powderpuffWho Moved The Goalposts? wrote:The stats on BBC don't make great reading. Especially the one that states we haven't touched the ball inside their box.
To be fair, we did lose two championship-quality centre backs over the summer.Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. We were so much more solid last season, now we look like we'll concede under every attack.
Don't think we've been great defensively for the last few seasons nowILoveMoonPig wrote:To be fair, we did lose two championship-quality centre backs over the summer.Royal_jimmy wrote:Hunt has turned this team into one with such a soft underbelly. I would say playing similar, but more of the ball.Clyde1998 wrote:Missed the first half, but sounds like we're doing well in the second.
