The data will no doubt be useful if correctly analysed, but I hope this doesn't come at the cost of an actual scouting department. There are always going to be players who'll stand out on the data who wouldn't make it at the club and players who don't stand out who would.
Plenty of factors cannot be assessed through data either (as they're either uncountable or require too much context), such as teamwork; personality; the player's ambitions/demands and on pitch positioning (maybe). There will be, especially in less visible divisions, a relative lack of useful data which may make it harder for AI to benefit us (like the National League; the Irish second division and youth competitions).
As long as the limitations are identified; communicated to the relevant people; and the final say on a player is down to competent people for their role, I have no issues with it being tried as a tool to help within the club.
