Rather healthy number of games for Leicester, Sheff Wed and Notts County though.

Are R1 league cup games ‘red buttoned”? Think they were last season but probably because they were midweek games?

‘ live football on TV ‘ are indicating that all the round 1 games are on either the main Sport channels or on SKY +

Reasonable chance Mansfield (H) gets moved from Tuesday 1st September to Wednesday, 2nd September thanks to Sky and a backlog of fixtures. Standby..

Fulham play Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday, 24th August live on Sky which is the same week as the Carabao Cup R2. That means neither Chelsea or Fulham can play Tuesday and in almost certainly not on the Wednesday either meaning they will have to play on the Thursday. Chelsea drew Luton at home. That would mean Luton’s scheduled match with Mansfield is changed from Saturday 29th August to Sunday 30th which would mean our match with Mansfield goes from the Tuesday to the Wednesday to enable sufficient rest.

Clyde- changing the subject, someone on X is claiming 16,500 tickets sold for Saturday. Do you agree ?

Assuming the seats which aren't put on sale are the same as last season (ie. the bottom rows of the North Stand; any segregation; etc.), then we're nowhere near 16,500. It looks around 9,800 home fans (plus disabled and hospitality) so far.

The 16,500 figure seems to be based on assuming every greyed out seat on the ticketing website has been sold, which is never the case.
