Um, Dillon's magnificent run of games after Pardew left. Yeah that was convincing. We need a fresh face, fresh ideas and preferably a proven track record!

Without, revealing too much, I live in Henley, I'm good friends with someone who knows John and his sister Netty (who also lives in Henley) very well and I know that as a man of principle (albeit with bad political judgement) John will never have Parjudas back at the club for as long as he remains chairman.

If he has been seen out in Henley, well that's pretty normal, as he regularly visits his sister and has a whole circle of friends in the Henley area. Just visit Antico's or Villa Marina on a Sunday afternoon and you might just get to meet the man himself!

A colleague here has confirmed that her husband has a lot of meetings with Nigel Howe and the subject of Pardew replacing Coppell should he decide not to stay has already been a matter of discussion within RFC. So there you go

Caskey has been out of any kind of decent football for years now, I was just thinking you had a real reason for suggesting him rather than a vague idea that Pardew might have 'liked' him....

Well we took Aaron Brown from Tamworth to basically the Premiership (we were going up). We wasted his time and our time with that signing so I wouldn't be overly shocked.

The thought of Pards returning really isn't one that fills me with great optimism.

All I'm saying is we took someone from non league to Premiership before, someone with no experience or standing in the game. It wouldn't even be in my personal top 5 choice. I got my number 1 choice last time! I remember writing on here we should go for either Steve Coppell or Bryan Robson Thank God we got the former!

It's pretty low risk though to take a player with a bit of decent pedigree (he was an England non league player and rated reasonably highly in non league football) and see how he works out. There have been loads of players who have made the transition - from Ian Wright / Stuart Pearce through to Dave Kitson / DJ Campbell ...

To grab a guy on the basis that he was once a decent player and might be mates with Pards doesn't seem to base the suggestion on anything. It's not asking too much to back up the opinion - for all I know Caskey may have his UEFA badges, his Pro Licence and be the next Nigel Clough but his pedigree of a tour of the lesser lights of sub Conference clubs doesn;t throw anything obvious up.

As has been said, the Pardew idea seems pretty far fetched any way so probably even less point in debating whether a random ex pie addict might be the one to replace Kevin Dillon !!

Thanks for the 'young' compliment, but I'm afraid that there is absolutely no foundation in the parjudas hyperbole. The only concievable way in which this situation would change, would be after the removal/resignation of Madjeski as Chairman. Until then, this is not going to happen, I promise you!
