Quite frankly anyone still whinging on about Rodgers' time here must be devoid of something essential.

He will quite probably be Barcelona manager within the next few years yet he was crap at Reading and we were going nowhere with him in charge except down...? Do me a friggin' favour.

I don't care how much his big watch and big book of tactics upset some, he will probably end up being the best manager we ever had. And we got rid after 6 months. Tragic really.

Although I have a soft spot for Arsenal I am absolutely delighted for Rodgers and will be very happy if Liverpool win the PL this season.

BR is clearly a very good coach/manager when dealing with players that have the ability to play 'his way'.
He was fortunate that he inherited a Swansea side that were primed for his way, but then did a very good job getting them up and keeping them there.
He's clearly done a very good job at Liverpool but to suggest that he was anything other than a liability at the Madstad is attempting to re-write history. We would have been relegated that season.
I've always believed that certain managers have a 'level' at which they perform best - BR and Neil Warnock are two examples. Colin being exceptional outside the PL but clueless in it. BR is clearly now in his element.

Still don't like his personal style, but his team style is extremely good to watch (note to BR - please stop Sturridge diving, it detracts from another massive performance)

What a load of tosh. Remember his time at Watford? Started off poorly, but had turned it around by the time we poached him.

Remember his time at Reading's academy. Or at Chelsea?

He wasn't being given the finished articles there, was he? Yet still built up an excellent reputation in the game.

And please don't bring up the fact that we beat his Watford team as if that's some kind of evidence that he hadn't done a great job at Watford.

He made mistakes, it went wrong he got sacked. Absolutely normal in football and he was given a fair crack of the whip. He was given a job to rebuild and get us up within three years and we were in danger of getting relegated. No one can say he'd have kept us up with certainty any more than anyone can say he'd have taken us down.

What we know is that soon after his replacement was appointed, we improved drastically after some key signings and we then went on to get promoted within three years.

We'd possibly have been better off with him if he'd kept us up and managed the rebuild well as he's shown he's got what it takes for the PL. But we could equally have have gone down, had him poached and then struggled to get out of League One.

Be pleased for an Ex-Reading man to be doing well. He's clearly a very good manager. Doesn't mean every job he takes will be a success or that he did a good job here.

Nobody would have even noticed the second yellow if he hadn't already been booked, people are only questioning it because he ended up getting sent off and normally the refs don't want to upset the players so let those fouls slide, well done Chris Foy.

can't help but wonder if the Chelsea players struggled with the pressure at the weekend having already seen Man City had won.

Chelsea still may win the league of course, but if they don't I think there will be a lot of folk looking back at this game and seeing how the players and manager lost their heads after seeing City win earlier in the day.

Bennett should have been sent off for Villa and Wiilian should never have got a 2nd yellow. Incorrect decisions by Foy which could have a massive bearing on the season. He got them so badly wrong.

Unlucky in what way? Kompany pulled his shirt and stopped him going clean through on goal. If that isn't denying a clear goalscoring opportunity then what is?

Without knowing what they were all saying it's pretty much impossible to know who should've got what treatment.

That Mourinho had been having his typical go at the other officials before that flash point probably had a bearing on it too. He might've been on his last warning as such.

When players or managers are booked or sent off for dissent related offences it's impossible to really know. Especially when the likes of Jose covers his mouth so often to hide from lip readers.
