AWB is fine...he went a bit 'off form' towards the end of the season. A priority signing for Utd should be Sancho at right wing. AWB then gets relieved of a lot of attacking duties (mostly making overlaps to create space etc). Also allows Rashford to be subbed off when he's shit.URZZZZ wrote:First and foremost they need a good attacking RB IMOOld Man Andrews wrote:Just one quality player would be an improvement tbh. AWB is a good defender against the top sides, pretty sure he dealt with the likes of Sterling, Mane etc but he lacks any conviction going forward and is part of the reason they struggle against the smaller teams
Obviously then they need to focus on the rest of the defence because as you say, it’s all rather average
Two players on £500k a week! Seriously it’s getting to the stage now where some clubs should just be immediately folded on moral grounds.BR0B0T wrote:The board needs to go or stop making footballing decisions
Utd currently have 2 goalkeepers being paid £500,000 a week...by necessity one will 'fail'. How do you move on a reserve keeper from a (possibly) mid table team on such ridiculous wages
Rojo, Jones, Mata, Romero, Lingard, Pererria, Smalling etc are on about £30M a year...a few have recently been awarded contracts keeping them here for 3-5 years.
W.T.F?!?!?
sorry, 500k combined (350 for DdG)Sutekh wrote:Two players on £500k a week! Seriously it’s getting to the stage now where some clubs should just be immediately folded on moral grounds.BR0B0T wrote:The board needs to go or stop making footballing decisions

There is no way that Henderson or Romero are on £500k a week.Sutekh wrote:Two players on £500k a week! Seriously it’s getting to the stage now where some clubs should just be immediately folded on moral grounds.BR0B0T wrote:The board needs to go or stop making footballing decisions

24 Sep 2020 13:39De Gea is on 350k. Henderson probably on about 80k and I would estimate Romero about 50k. Henderson would have got a huge bump with his new contract, especially as they would have had to appease him due to playing second fiddle to De Gea. They should have sold De Gea whilst he is still worth something imo.Hendo wrote:There is no way that Henderson or Romero are on £500k a week.Sutekh wrote:Two players on £500k a week! They should have used de gea for a makeweight for oblak from atleti.Old Man Andrews wrote:De Gea is on 350k. Henderson probably on about 80k and I would estimate Romero about 50k. Can’t say I’ve ever been overly impressed with Sancho when he plays for England. Haven’t seen him for Dortmund so obviously can’t comment on that regardBR0B0T wrote:AWB is fine...he went a bit 'off form' towards the end of the season. United do need a CB as the current pairing isn't gr8. Saying that United had the 3rd best defense last year and only conceded three more than LFC
Matic wasn't available last week. He's changed most United fans opinion this last year tbf.URZZZZ wrote:Can’t say I’ve ever been overly impressed with Sancho when he plays for England. Always think you look more solid with Matic in the side, however much he isn’t a fan favourite. Gives more freedom to the likes of Pogba and Fernandes. Surprised McTominay was chosen over him last week, who just seems to be distinctly average nowadays
Yeah, not denying he’s done well there, just only going what I’ve personally seenBR0B0T wrote:Matic wasn't available last week. Sancho had 17 goals and 16 assists over 32 appearances last season and is still a teenager

I remember Clive Thomas applying the laws of the game in the Brazil v Sweden game at the 1978 World Cup and blowing time just as Brazil took a corner from which they scored what would have been the winner. FIFA didn’t give him another game.Franchise FC wrote:What I don’t think I understand is that the added time was given as 5 minutes.BR0B0T wrote:Never a doubt!
Brighton equalised with less than 30 seconds left.
The Man Utd corner, irrespective of whether it was a corner, was timed at 96:15
Why wasn’t time called before the corner was taken ?
It’s not just in this game but seemingly every referee seems to think that a corner must be cleared before blowing

'minimum of 5 mins' with a certain amount of time added for the goal celebration + VdB was subbed on at 91 mins + fcuk off BrightonFranchise FC wrote:In today’s example he didn’t need to allow the corner to be taken - time was upSutekh wrote:I remember Clive Thomas applying the laws of the game in the Brazil v Sweden game at the 1978 World Cup and blowing time just as Brazil took a corner from which they scored what would have been the winner.
