Winston Biscuit listened to some journo's on a European football podcast as I walked to work this morning. Their vote for the 'most under the radar' good transfers this summer were Davide Frattesi joining Inter Milan from Sassuolo and Javier Galan joining Atletico Madrid from Celta Vigo

and they mentioned as a separate thing to keep an eye on is the 'fire-sale' they said is going on at Ajax. Apparently quite a number of players have left and there are still more expected out the door.

yeah they are financially screwed by missing out on CL football

Don't know the ins and outs of the club but yeah that's bound to hit them.

4 successive titles followed by finishing outside the CL spots. Had AZ Alkmaar won the last day of the season then Ajax wouldn't have even had a Europa League place this season.

The Dutch teams, in particular Ajax, have a history of selling off the stars and seemingly replacing them quickly with youth they have helped develop. Will be interesting to see if they can do it again or if they take a bit of a dip for a period

Gianluigi Buffon, the man who made his league debut for Parma before 'Three Lions' and Euro 96 had been a thing, has retired from football aged 45. Made 1,175 official appearances, 8th all-time.

And for some reason, Kazuyoshi Miura, the world's oldest active footballer at 56 years old, is on loan at Portugese second tier side Oliveirense. He played two minutes in their League Cup defeat last week, having made three appearances last season, totalling 28 minutes.

Was just looking back at Serie A during Buffon's debut season and it's mad how lopsided geographically that league is some times

Riyadh Air, a new airline just launched, owned by Saudi PIF and don't plan on flying their first plane for another 2 years, are the new sponsors of Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid need a keeper. Spaniard David Raya suddenly regretting his loan move to Arsenal's bench.

Their back up keeper is fairly good, don't think he'd let them down.

Greenlandic Football Championship kicks off today. Whole season gets completed in a month.

If it follows the same format as last season then its 2 groups of 4 which goes into semi finals and a final.

Nagdlunguaq-48 are the reining champions having beaten Nuuk-B67 on penalties last season

Some of the teams take a bit of time to travel all the way to the south to play in this

Teams have pulled out of it though, one has resigned as to get their they'd have to fly to Reykjavik then fly back to Nuuk and get a boat!

In recent years teams have pulled out because of the players need to to go Elk hunting for winter food!

Poor old Bayern, sign a Spurs player, stop winning trophies.

It really wouldn't surprise me if Kane ends the season without the winners medal he craves. Bayern naturally favourites but 3 or 4 very decent sides to challenge them this year.

And Eder Militao does the same in the first game of the season.
