Luton showing the merits of pragmatism and playing to the strengths of your squad. I have no idea what Kompany has been doing at Burnley this season but them and Sheffield have been two of the poorer Prem teams we’ve seen for a while

A lot of talk on De Zerbi being in for both the Barca and Liverpool jobs, but not on this current season, I've actually been quite disappointed with them to be honest. May have expected it to be a bit more difficult with Europe, but they are leaking goals like a side towards the bottom of the table.

Credit to them, they are a good team to watch, but I expected more.

I guess there is only so many times you can re-invent the wheel. Last summer they lost Mac Allister, Sanchez and Caicedo, year before that it was Trossard, Cucerella and Bissouma, and the summer before Ben White left for Arsenal. Europe has taken its toll - it's remarkable they still top half really (for now!).

Given City’s tendency to pick up momentum at around this stage coupled with their easier run in over the next few games, think Liverpool have to be looking at 4 points as a minimum from tonight and Arsenal on Sunday

Though those stats are skewed somewhat by the total farce of their game at Spurs not to mention the failure of VAR refs (again!) to award them a clear and obvious penalty v Arsenal (and if Spurs are big 6 should not Newcastle be included and it be a big 7? Liverpool have, of course, beaten Newcastle twice which would presumably lift their H2H position in the "elite" team H2H table).

Just trying to build some hope up for someone to stay competitive for long enough to stop it being yet another Citycheats title and Liverpool would appear to be the best hope for that this time round.
