I'm more worried about getting another Shane Long.Royal Rother wrote:Because of course spending a few million is absolutely guaranteed to get us someone better than, say, Noel Hunt.Deathy wrote:It's if we sell Doyle and buy another unknown I'll be pissed!!!

It's a bad day when you're corrected on your spelling by me!
The thought of Doyle being worth £10m is also laughable.
Don't remember that - not getting him mixed up with Micah Richards?Jackson Corner wrote:Harewood. I've never forgot him crying like a baby when Pards bought him off at the Mad stad.
Was during the 6-0 drubbing RR, Harewood was not the worst player but for some bizarre reason was taken off, good job Tevez was not put in that day.Royal Rother wrote:Don't remember that - not getting him mixed up with Micah Richards?Jackson Corner wrote:Harewood. Wasn't it on another match? Only a two nil thrashing thoughThe 17 Bus wrote:Was during the 6-0 drubbing RR, Harewood was not the worst player but for some bizarre reason was taken off, good job Tevez was not put in that day.Royal Rother wrote:Don't remember that - not getting him mixed up with Micah Richards?Jackson Corner wrote:Harewood. West Ham United: Green, Dailly, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Konchesky, Bowyer (Newton 19), Reo-Coker, Mullins, Benayoun (Cole 78), Harewood (Spector 46), Zamora. Subs Not Used: Carroll, Tevez.
Yes, as long as we don't register him. We can own his registration and flog that. I think.Royal Lady wrote:2-Ten are running this as the big news item this afternoon. £10 million plus Harewood. But I'd rather they sold Harewood to someone else. Are we allowed to take him in January and then sell him straight on??

If we don't register him then he is not ours to sell.SCIAG wrote:Yes, as long as we don't register him. We can own his registration and flog that. I was being sarcastic.Deathy wrote:Royal Lady wrote:Depends how much another team were willing to pay I suppose - but we might get another couple of million out of it. And to be honest, we need to be careful of the pounds these days. How's that?
We're not hard up. The only difference is Madejski doesn't want to put his money in any more and what we spend seems to be what the club earns. Granted, that may not be a lot without JM's support.
But to say after all the selling we've done that we need to be careful and pocket some more is a joke, surely?
Gosh, I don't know - but seeing as I'm seemingly not in "iggy" - how about we get £10 million for Doyle and that's Villa's top whack - but they'll also throw in Harewood if we want him. Do we say "no thanks" and just take £10 million or do we say "oh go on then" and take £10 million plus a player which we can sell on for probably a couple of million. Even if we waited until the Summer transfer window? It's a toughie isn't it?The 17 Bus wrote:Why on earth would we agree to take a player that we do not want, and try to sell him on straight away?????
Keep women out of football, that's what I say.
