Long term Bracknell fan I know has mixed feelings about their increased spending over the last 18 months. Also says although they have great facilities off the pitch, capacity has been compromised. They need 3k for Southern Leagu aboveTony Le Mesmer wrote:I think Bracknell is another example of the positive things that can happen to a club when money is invested in the right way.
Seems they are getting gates of around 250 every time I look, which in turn means they can pay the most wages in the division.
I have paid one visit there recently, and it does look as if they would have no chance of upping the ground grading at Larges Lane, should it ever be required. Simply not enough room.
Wasnt there a controversial thing that happened a few years ago where a team got expunged at the end of the season, which made one team who beat them twice lose 6 points and drop from 2nd to 4th to lose out on automatic promotion? Iirc there were loads of appeals so nobody knew who went up ages after the season endedFour Of Clubs wrote:...rushed as alwayssorry! .... here's what's still on so far - plenty of frizzed pitches about this AM that may not thaw - keep an eye on those INSPECTIONS .....

Sorry my post seems to have got chopped. Ground grading for Southern League One need potential to increase capacity to 2k, then 3k for Southern League PremierRoyal Rother wrote:Sorry, the end (above) is a bit unclear - when will they need 3,000? And why?
All rumour so far. Wealdstone have not yet confirmed despite what Chippenham & their fans have said.Bonzodog wrote:Often interesting to find out what non league players are paid and how much it varies. In National South a player from Chippenham Dave Pratt is due to move to Wealdstone with a weekly wage north of £800 per week.
Would put it stronger than a rumour as Chippenham have confirmed he's left. The issue is the money being paid for a part time player.Yellowcoat wrote:All rumour so far. One the one hand semi pro contracts at that level tend to only be for 38 weeks (i.e. no money in close season). On the other players only tend to talk in net figures.Sutekh wrote:Bonzodog wrote:Often interesting to find out what non league players are paid and how much it varies. For an NLS player?
Are Wealdstone full time then?
