Sadly, this smacks of the EFL waiting to see if Wigan can survive WITH the 12 points deduction. If they do, then they can easily refuse the appeal impose the deduction, but cause no harm.

I think the EFL were hoping Wigan would keep up their winning streak so that the points deduction would be irrelevant. To be honest I think Wigan will be fine points deduction or no points deduction, they've done enough.
