What family ties does Terry have to us or are we counting shagging Wayne Bridge's wife?

Pat Terry, centre forward for Reading in the mid-1960s.

Can you provide any evidence of that because Google can't.

John Terry's nephew is on the books at Colchester though.

Bizarre, even on Wikipedia, the Appearances and goals by club table makes no mention of his time at Reading!.

Arrived from Millwall and was with the club over the “World Cup” period (1964 to 1967). This was the time the club switched to playing in the nice all sky blue strip. Left for Swindon after the above no. of goals & apps. Passed away in 2007 aged 73. Seem to recall him being tagged as a good old fashioned “hard as nails” centre forward. No doubt there are some on here who will still remember him well.

Shouldn’t this be in the ex-Royals thread?

My late father said he had a bullet header too.

Add here initially as reference to previous posts saying people couldnt find any evidence he played for RFC

He was what was called an old fashioned centre forward, with a really good header. He played with the likes of Dennis Allen, Dougie Webb and Alan Scarrott on the wing. Mick Travers, Gordon Neate, Colin Meldrum, Dick Spiers, Dave Bacuzzi , Rod Thornhill & Maurice Evans with Arthur Wilkie/Mike Dixon in goal. There were others ,but those were the ones I remember. I think Pat Terry was on the cover of the match day programme at the time.
