Still in Europe, to be fair, but that is an unfathomably huge upset. Rangers had a pretty strong team out as well, maybe only 1 or 2 who aren't regular starters.

Associations ranked 7th to 15th get two spots, 16th to 55th get one each. Scotland currently 14th, but barely ahead of Denmark and Switzerland.Sutekh wrote:The Scottish Premiership only gets a couple of CL play off spots anyway doesn’t it?
Scotland only got their second place in 2022 so looks like the co-efficient is reviewed every 5 years.Sanguine wrote:Associations ranked 7th to 15th get two spots, 16th to 55th get one each. Fwiw any change would be from 2026-27. Places in competitions for 2025-26 are already fixed based on rankings end of last season (when Scotland were 11th).
Its reviewed every year, coefficient is a rolling five-year measure. Scotland awarded a second CL place for 2021-22, based on performances up to end of 2019-20. In 2019-20, both Celtic and Rangers made it to the knockout stages of the Europa League, which was enough to bump them into the top 15.Sutekh wrote:Scotland only got their second place in 2022 so looks like the co-efficient is reviewed every 5 years.Sanguine wrote:Associations ranked 7th to 15th get two spots, 16th to 55th get one each.
