I have to say i agree with Monk, he's settled here, set for life, guaranteed first team football, fans who love him and we play football that suits his style. It would of been a big risk to move. Why would you have to ? No reason why a footballer retiring at 30 shouldn't work again, whatever their injury.

And an insurance payment based on a 20k a week earnings isn't exactly going to leave a player short of cash...
