I went to empty my bladder at HT, but I don’t think the BBC mentioned it. Like you, RR, I thought he was a bit off his line, but his movement was more sideways, really. The BBC were more interested in dropping in references to the pundits’ cup final appearances, of course. Some things never change.Royal Rother wrote:Looked to me like Henderson was off his line for the penalty save. Dunno why they didn't scrutinise that in HT analysis, or at any stage so far. the citeh cnut bought that penalty even before the palarse player fairly took the ball (I think it used be called a ‘tackle’ back in the day)….so who cares?Royal Rother wrote:Looked to me like Henderson was off his line for the penalty save. Yeah. Being a long time London based RFC fan Palace and Brentford are the two teams I have any time for. Proper clubs. Decent fans. From Despair To Where? wrote:Please for Palace, to be honest.
Not sure about the phrase “took the ball” but yes indeed, it was clearly a dive as well, BEFORE contact was made. Not sure whether that negates the penalty call or not tbh, probably not.AthleticoSpizz wrote:the citeh cnut bought that penalty even before the palarse player fairly took the ball (I think it used be called a ‘tackle’ back in the day)….so who cares?Royal Rother wrote:Looked to me like Henderson was off his line for the penalty save. Never a CP fan, but what a great day for them.

Well they ought to be able to spot a cheat.East Grinstead Royal wrote:I see that City fans are saying Palace cheated. How many offences are City charged with?
Agreed. The English implementation of VAR is a complete joke and run by incompetents. Laughing stock again…Royal Rother wrote:Not sure about the phrase “took the ball” but yes indeed, it was clearly a dive as well, BEFORE contact was made. Didn’t care about the result either way myself, just highlighting what looked to be another VAR cock-up to me.
I think he was ok, you only have to have one foot on the line don't you?Royal Rother wrote:Looked to me like Henderson was off his line for the penalty save. Dunno why they didn't scrutinise that in HT analysis, or at any stage so far. (Well, I was on ITV, maybe BBC did.)

I don't think Slot will allow an on the beach performance in the last home game of the season.Sutekh wrote:Another “on the beach” performance and line up from Liverpool. Nest up Palace and no doubt Slot will want to see the likes of Guehi, Wharton and Eze etc. put in a performance, for summer consideration, so expecting the same again in the final game.
yeah I have gone for 3-0 in my super 6 prediction. ones of those rare games where a team could lose 5-0 and it would essentially be meaningless and their supporters won't really care.Royal Rother wrote:I don't think Slot will allow an on the beach performance in the last home game of the season.Sutekh wrote:Another “on the beach” performance and line up from Liverpool. Palace will definitely be on the beach (and, depending on tonight's results, quite probably won't be able to gain or lose a position in the table) so I'm expecting Liverpool to give them a bit of a hiding.
