Nah we sold him to charlton who then sold him to Oxford if anyone gets any thing out of this it will be charlton not us.SWLR wrote:BBC rumour of Fosu Henry to Brentford. Sell-on, sell -on fee??morganb wrote:Nicky Shorey is the guest on TalkSport at the moment
And not much if the fee is as low as the reported £750k buy out clauseWoodleyRoyal wrote:Nah we sold him to charlton who then sold him to Oxford if anyone gets any thing out of this it will be charlton not us.SWLR wrote:BBC rumour of Fosu Henry to Brentford. If Charlton had a 10% sell on, we had a 40% sell on, and the fee is £750k, then we would get a massive £30k.SWLR wrote:BBC rumour of Fosu Henry to Brentford. Sell-on, sell -on fee??morganb wrote:Nicky Shorey is the guest on TalkSport at the moment
Just caught up with this, was on from just after 11 until 12 on Thu night. Not much that came as a surprise but good nonetheless. There was an interesting story which I assumed was from his time at Reading.morganb wrote:Nicky Shorey is the guest on TalkSport at the moment
Is that for a pub team?Mid Sussex Royal wrote:Joey Van Den Berg now playing in Dutch 5th tier (part time)...about his level

Sensible wages back then but surprised we managed to hold onto any of our squad.

Sidwell was on about £12k and that was from the Championship + contract payrise because we wouldn't offer him the amount he wanted to renegotiate.
I can't believe for a second as a senior first team player in the Championship Harper was only taking home £1500 a week in the PL. Our wage bill was about £30m!
I know Sidders said Harps is the stupidest person he'd ever met, but his agent would have had to be a literal turnip as well for that to be true! And obviously there's tight arse Hammond to factor in.Jagermesiter1871 wrote:https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/foot ... e-17727584Snowflake Royal wrote:Have you missed a zero?Jagermesiter1871 wrote:Anyone else seen James harpers comments about being on £1500 a week when we were in the prem?

Mentions Sidwells wages tbf. But it is unbelievable he was on 'so little'.

We have a lot of strikers, virtually no wingers and tend not to play two upfront.morganb wrote:Not sure if this is the right place for this but Marc McNulty is still a Reading player, knows where the goal is and has just started up a good strike partnership with Christian Doidge who is a 6ft 2 striker:

And he looked well of being fully fit for a while.URZZZZ wrote:I think if we were to do an XI based off who was the most harshly treated, McNulty would be there
He was never given a proper opportunity here but it wasn’t like he wasn’t showing anything in his brief cameos either, he scored one game, started the next, and was never seen again for us
I’ve never bought into that, he always looked fairly energetic and lively in his brief cameosNewCorkSeth wrote:And he looked well of being fully fit for a while.URZZZZ wrote:I think if we were to do an XI based off who was the most harshly treated, McNulty would be there
