Great game, two sides just going at it end to end, throwing crosses into the box, not just endless passing across the back 4

What a dreadful display by Arsenal tonight.

Fcuking risk free football that will push people away from watching them.

And as for Martinelli, what a piece of shit. Guy does his ACL and you throw the ball at him and then try to push him off the pitch?

He should be banned for 6 games.

How nobody decked the Cnut I don’t know.

Agreed, but Arsenal only needed the draw, so they aimed for that, and got it.

Only needed a draw? We’ll see about that come the end of the season.

If that is a display of their ambition against a team that is no threat to their title ambitions then I can see that having an impact in the longer term (on future performances). It does look like the title is theirs to lose (hate that expression but I’ve gone there) but I’ve said before that I don’t think Arteta has what it takes to win the big titles because he is too cautious… tonight just reignited that thought.

They're an awfully boring side, and will be the most boring team to ever win the PL.

Their fans are pretty awful too. They're defence of Martinelli conveniently leaves out the part where Martinelli throws the ball at Bradley whilst he's laying on the floor. Unfortunately Slot gave them an out to excuse Martinelli thanks to his post match comments.

Nah. It was a big missed opportunity. Maybe a bit hyperbolic but a win could've basically won them the title last night.

I watched the game in a bar in Lanzarote with no commentary other than from a second screen where all I could hear was Gary Neville creaming himself over Saka until Kerkez gradually got control of the player causing him to be substituted.

Unfortunately I was sat next to an Arsenal fan who proceeded to tell me during the game how brilliant each Arsenal player is but somehow became rather quiet midway during the second half and almost mute by the end.

I had thought before the game that this was one game where the pride of the Champions would mean that they would match Arsenal and their recent poor form would be forgotten.

Not a very exciting match as these big games often are but I think both managers would be happy with the result and Slot with the overall performance.

As for Martinelli what a twat-what right did he have to force Bradley off the pitch and throw the ball at him when he was on the ground.?
I think referee Taylor bottled it-red card would have been appropriate but as it was near the end of the game the ref took the easy option of a yellow.

It will be interesting what happens when Salah returns as we are now seeing the lightning pace that Frimpong brings even if his final ball is not as good as Salah often provides.

Yeah, again had to turn the commentary right down to try and silence that total pillock up, absolutely loves Saka and don’t you just know it. Yet dead quiet by comparison if a Liverpool player did something similar.

Also, I heard Gyokeres was on the pitch last night, anyone able to confirm?

I reckon he touched the ball about 5 times in the hour plus he was on the pitch.

They needed a centre forward last year, now they've got one they don't really believe in him enough to try to bring him into the game. I don't think they gave him a single chance to get in on goal apart from flashing a cross or 2 across the box. I still think he could come good, but he doesn't have the skill and touches that Jesus has so if they aren't going to play to Gyokeres' strengths, they are probably better off starting Jesus (or even, God forbid, Havertz when he's back).

Macclesfield 1 Palace 0 HT.

Terrestrial TV have just two live FA cup games this weekend. the oldest and best domestic cup competition in world football and it`s been sold to TNT sport. outrageous that most normal fans can`t watch the games.

Now

Macclesfield 2-0 PaLOLace

And Guehi is playing

20 minutes left.

Making Reading’s solitary visit there much more palatable.

They`ve changed the rules now, he`s not cup tied if he moves this window.

Nothing left for him at PaLOLace now

Round of applause for the worst defence of the trophy since Norwich City (then of the Norfolk & Suffolk League) dumped The Wednesday out in 1908
