I'd suggest looking at how many ICU beds we have v how many we are going to need and how many are going to die. Ignore if you want. Life has changed forever sadly.AthleticoSpizz wrote:....or just ignore it

National League have asked the FA to assist them in cancelling the rest of the season. What this means to Barrow's chances of getting promoted is unclear.Royals and Racers wrote:Step 5 and 6 season is over http://severnsport.co.uk/?p=13491

It all probably makes some sense in non league because players are part time. Not sure at National League level where 95% teams are full time that it should be the end of the season. If it is I certainly feel applying a ppg ratio for the remaining games is better than voiding it all given things are so near the end.Stranded wrote:National League have asked the FA to assist them in cancelling the rest of the season. Basingstoke Town Football Club likes this.Sutekh wrote:Confirmed. All football below the National League has been ended. All results of this season have been expunged. Therefore no relegation from National Leagues North and South this season and everyone will be they were this season at the start of next season whenever that actually happens.

Yes but they want to finish the season from a promotion/relegation from the National League but the South division will see no relegation.STAR Liaison wrote:Eh? It has also been said that any reorganisation of the National league set up is delayed until the 2021/22 season.Stranded wrote:Yes but they want to finish the season from a promotion/relegation from the National League but the South division will see no relegation.STAR Liaison wrote:Eh? I understand that there are nearly 900 clubs in steps 3-6 and about 750 haven’t signed perhaps indicating that they accept the decision although it does seem harsh on those clubs that have already won their leagues.Royals and Racers wrote:150 non league clubs have sent a legal letter to the FA. Indeed - but can't help but feel like there's a moral to this story, counting as yet unhatched chickens or something.Royal Rother wrote:What is quite amusing (not really amusing) is that some clubs now missing out on promotion their efforts during the season had clearly earned had invested in players / wages well above the norm for the standard they were at in order to win / buy promotion, quite “happy” making a loss in the process. All part of the game, maybe to satisfy dreams / ego, or just to kick start well-planned progression up the ladder.
Now they’ve made that loss but have no promotion and have to do it all over again next season. But those players who were playing below their natural level will likely move on now as they won’t want to have a 2nd season playing a level or 2 down.
