B*gg*r*ed if I know, just a line in the Chronic pitching him in with all the others we know are out:

As many as eight first-team players remain out for the visit of top-of-the-table Burnley on Saturday.

The likes of Ovie Ejaria, Baba Rahman, Shane Long, Tom Ince, Tom McIntyre, Dean Bouzanis and Junior Hoilett will all miss the vast majority of the season- if not all of it.

Only one of Holmes and McIntyre should be starting anyway. So it's only really Tom Ince that is the big loss. And his form took a dip anyway.

This 100% we probably could and should have played 4-2-3-1 if Hutch was available. He and Loum would have been that steadying influence in front of the back four giving us way more protection that we had.

Not really at CB, more reliable than Loum at DM, but less good on a good Loum day.

Or something like that. Do think that side would be good enough for low mid table. But obvs Meite, Ejaria, Moore and arguably Joao are well down from where they have been 2-3 years ago - so whether that fitness form or just decline, dunno.

I believe Tetek was last match fit in Jan last year (Kiddy cup game?). Useful player but don't think he would have a role under Ince even if fit

Both about the same. Be interesting to see whether the club offer him (Tetek) a deal in the summer, I'm hoping they will as he is still only 20 and does show some very decent promise.

And Hutch, even if he doesn't play that much, could still be a great asset and role model for the youngsters to aspire to.

Tetek has been injured for most of two years. He looked tidy, But that's going to have massively set back his development.

Personally, I don't think there's much sense of offering him a contract.

Ejaria and Rahman are losses, they make our matchday squad, as would Moore and Bouzanis, but obviously the former 3 pushing for a starting place. Hoilett is a useful player, as is Long.

But it's not about players playing for 90 minutes week in, week out. It's about players competing for each others places in the squad and having extra quality. A lot of those players who are missing have more quality than what we've currently got available.

Not really sure what's funny. Just because you don't like those 3 players, it doesn't mean to say they wouldn't be involved in any way or that thy are even poor players. Rahman hasn't been that good, but would start at LB, Ejaria is largely underwhelming but can produce good quality of his day and a fit Moore can likely get in our starting side, even in a back 4 or 5.

Having said that, you always think better of players you like and worse of players you don't.
