Said that in 1992 and haven’t really seen much since to say otherwise. Looking forward to the next sell out to the big boys.
Not too bothered, as we've had the rub of the green regarding decisions recently.AthleticoSpizz wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 22:57 Boo hoo, it happens, ‘even’ Prem refs have off days
Rejoice in the fact that others have fallen worse at AFCB
Cup final, international break and fa cup, their next league game is 11th April, a day before city`s nextWinston Biscuit wrote: ↑15 Mar 2026 18:09 Arsenal have almost a month break until their next Premier League game. Seems weird.
I don't disagree with you on the general point that the ref would not disallow the Bournemouth goal and award a soft penalty.BRO_BOT wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 23:27Not too bothered, as we've had the rub of the green regarding decisions recently.AthleticoSpizz wrote: ↑20 Mar 2026 22:57 Boo hoo, it happens, ‘even’ Prem refs have off days

It's just an interesting set of circumstances that doesn't happen too often in a game. Think it says a lot about the ref's perception.
There was a chance that they would have to deny AFCB's goal and award us a pen. Potentially a two-goal swing...home fans would have gone fully radio rental! Had this not been the case, I think Amad has a stronger shout at VAR overturning the on-field decision
Amad probably has less chance of getting the pen because of the proximity to the previous one i.e. human nature to try and be fair. If we say the first foul was a 1, then the second foul two minutes later might have to be a 1.25. It was very similar to the foul he'd just given, a fistful of shirt with no intention of playing the ball
If he doesn't give Amad a pen because it was deemed too 'soft', then he shouldn't have given the one against Maguire. I'd have probably given both for what it's worth, so Maguire would have also got a red. Having said that, due to the inconsistencies in the game, I'm not entirely sure what warrants a penalty
