Certainly Arsenal`s title to lose now, next time they play in the league is April 11th at home to Bournemouth, win that they`re 12 points clear before city go to Chelsea the following day.
16 points from 7 games 4 of them at home and it`s all over.

Arsenal have almost a month break until their next Premier League game. Seems weird.

Fcuk me Liverpool are shit. Slow and ponderous. Error strewn and wasteful. Salah looks a shadow of his former self.

They gifted an incompetent Spurs side a point.

I don't like how quickly the end of the season always seems to come about. feels like we have just been watching the cold winter fixtures, and now some PL teams have only 7 games left

Said that in 1992 and haven’t really seen much since to say otherwise. Looking forward to the next sell out to the big boys.

Ref decided that game for Bournemouth.

Soft pen and red card against Maguire. Fine, that's the ref's decision, but be consistent. Amad was denied a pen for something similar; they then went immediately down the field and scored. I feel he didn't give the pen, as it may have been a bit soft, and he'd just given a legit pen to United minutes earlier. Not sure that's how you're supposed to ref a game.

Boo hoo, it happens, ‘even’ Prem refs have off days
Rejoice in the fact that others have fallen worse at AFCB

Not too bothered, as we've had the rub of the green regarding decisions recently.

It's just an interesting set of circumstances that doesn't happen too often in a game. Think it says a lot about the ref's perception.

There was a chance that they would have to deny AFCB's goal and award us a pen. Potentially a two-goal swing...home fans would have gone fully radio rental! Had this not been the case, I think Amad has a stronger shout at VAR overturning the on-field decision

Amad probably has less chance of getting the pen because of the proximity to the previous one i.e. human nature to try and be fair. If we say the first foul was a 1, then the second foul two minutes later might have to be a 1.25. It was very similar to the foul he'd just given, a fistful of shirt with no intention of playing the ball

If he doesn't give Amad a pen because it was deemed too 'soft', then he shouldn't have given the one against Maguire. I'd have probably given both for what it's worth, so Maguire would have also got a red. Having said that, due to the inconsistencies in the game, I'm not entirely sure what warrants a penalty

I don't disagree with you on the general point that the ref would not disallow the Bournemouth goal and award a soft penalty.

As somebody watching the game dispassionately, other than wanting both teams to lose  ,I didn't think that the Amad incident was a penalty and the difference with Maguire was that the player had a clear run on goal-with Amad it was just a crowded penalty area.

From an England perspective we were reminded that Maguire is just too fcuking slow for international football.

Cunha showed once again what a good player he is and he gave the much praised Jimenez the run around.

Surely should have been a red for Kepa. Doku had an open goal.

Again Arsenal got exactly what they deserved.

Such lack of ambition from the team 9 points clear in the PL is pretty pathetic. I rather hope they fcuk it up between now and the end of the season and come away with nothing. It would probably be a Godsend for football.

after scoring his first 2 cup final goals yesterday, Nico O'Reilly now has 2 more cup final goals for Man City than Erling Haaland does

Eddie is surely under pressure at Newcastle after newly promoted Sunderland deservedly did the double over them and this followed the 7 goal nightmare at Barcelona.

Any manager spending something like £110,000 on a couple of strikers and then not playing them must have his judgement and coaching ability questioned.

St James is supposed to be a fortress but in Premier League games the Geordies have a record of losing 6 of 16 games and a goal difference of just plus 4 as well as a minus 4 away from home.

As well as the myth of Eddie the great manager the other myth is that they haven't spent money whereas I read that last Summer they were the 4th biggest spenders in the division (remember they bought Elanga as well as Wissa and Woltemade).

How Bruce, Allardyce et al must cringe at how they were so restricted on their spending when it was Ashley rather than the Saudis in control.
