Of course, but only having Zohore, Austin and Robson Kanu (having to use Callum Robinson out of position yesterday) is their biggest concern IMOSouth Coast Royal wrote:I think they need a lot more than that.URZZZZ wrote:I think Robson Kanu being West Brom’s 1st/2nd choice striker is also a big issue, WBA in dire need of a strikerSouth Coast Royal wrote:
Leeds looked good enough to stay up whereas West Brom and Fulham look like what they probably will be in a year's time, Championship clubs.
Both of these teams are still playing with Championship level defenders who are clearly not good enough.
Yeah pretty sure that was said about Norwich last year and Fulham the season beforeFranchise FC wrote:Leeds played well, but I'm always unconvinced by the "if we play that way, we'll be ok"
Teams that do that have just played as well as they can and lost
How often does that happen ?
And this is a generic statement rather than directed specifically at Leeds
Totally agree on Norwich.URZZZZ wrote:Yeah pretty sure that was said about Norwich last year and Fulham the season beforeFranchise FC wrote:Leeds played well, but I'm always unconvinced by the "if we play that way, we'll be ok"

In saying that, I do think Leeds will be OK this season, many weak teams on display judging from the first game of the season
That's not a top four signing, and how would that work with Kane ?Tottenham are interested in signing Southampton and England forward Danny Ings, 28.

As close as it was and as well as they did, they got no points. Also, “they went toe to toe for half an hour” isn’t a football match an hour and a half?
And we know what points make....
Fcuks sake. Promoted team with nothing to lose, go for it and lose - happens a lot. As pointed out Norwuch beat Man City early on last year. Fat lot of good it did them in the end.Pepe the Horseman wrote:
And we went to Utd, who were also defending champs, and got a 0-0 draw on the opening day of the season 07/08 but still went down.Stranded wrote:Fcuks sake. Just my own sad enjoyment of stats! The Leeds win reminded me of the opening day 4-3 over Arsenal. Then I remembered Liverpool put 4 past Norwich last season, so had a look at how Liverpool have kicked off their recent campaigns!South Coast Royal wrote:Just out of interest Sangers was this reported or did you just think something like "I think Liverpool have done something like this before"?
As you know I follow Liverpool's performances closely but couldn't have told you that those games were all the first of a season.
