That's must be at least 30% more than last season which is a great effort. May have some new grounds in there and more local trips but we've taken impressive followings to places like Charlton, Bolton, Carlisle, Exeter and Port Vale. Some we've been to quite recently. Burton will be a good effort too and a fun day out.
The figure the Bristol Rovers forum's 'guess the attendance' game is 1,343 (out of our sold out allocation of 1,348). They've been contacting Bristol Rovers for official numbers of away fans - so I'm guessing that's the actual number.
I've got us up 36% compared to last season (when including and excluding figures for Barnsley and Burton) and that's including, as we've discussed before, the limited away allocations at various grounds we would've taken more. You'd perhaps be looking at 50%+ higher with larger allocations at our most popular games (I don't think we sold out many places last season except perhaps QPR/Watford).
We're almost certainly going to have had the fourth highest away following in League One this season - behind Derby, Portsmouth and Bolton. Burton will be a lot of fun, especially now it's not going to be a tense six pointer.
It's been an incredible season for away followings. Hope it continues next season.
