Almost 1300 of us at Bolton. 1,299 to be exact.

£10 tickets helped but that's a good effort. Sums up a good season of away support from us.

Very impressive numbers.

I make it our seventh highest away following so far this season - behind Charlton (2,518); Portsmouth (1,987); Wycombe (1,849); Cheltenham (1,516); Oxford (1,475) and Carlisle (1,360). Bristol Rovers (1,348 allocation) will almost certainly creep ahead.

Hopefully we can continue to see good backings on the road next season. Probably be more if it wasn't for some of the tinpot away ends like Oxford, Bristol Rovers, Wycombe and Leyton Orient

Was thinking this yesterday. How good would our average be if we weren't limited at any ground? For Bolton's closest game (Wigan), they have the ability to take over 4,000 (and vice versa) - we're limited to roughly 1,500 and 1,800 respectively.

We probably would've sold at least double for Oxford (3,000+) had we been given that allocation, as the obvious example. Other estimates (read 'guesses') would be - when trying to be conservative: Wycombe (and maybe Portsmouth) over 2,500; Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers would've over 2,000; Exeter and Leyton Orient spring to mind as being over 1,500. Those games would've increase our average so far by over 200 people.

Hopefully it continues next season and will be hopefully be assisted by us competing for the play-offs (or higher) next season. Our best bet for an 'unlimited' away following (locally) next season will be if Milton Keynes get promoted - we took around 3,000 there in 2016(?) when our average away following was pretty awful. I reckon we could take over 4,000 there next season, assuming we get the tickets to do it.

If Oxford had given us that entire stand on the side we'd have filled it. Wycombe we'd take 3k to as well, same with Orient since it was a new ground for many. Cheltenham, Portsmouth and Exeter I think we'd have taken more to as well if the ticket supply was there.

The figure the Bristol Rovers forum's 'guess the attendance' game is 1,343 (out of our sold out allocation of 1,348). They've been contacting Bristol Rovers for official numbers of away fans - so I'm guessing that's the actual number.

I've got us up 36% compared to last season (when including and excluding figures for Barnsley and Burton) and that's including, as we've discussed before, the limited away allocations at various grounds we would've taken more. You'd perhaps be looking at 50%+ higher with larger allocations at our most popular games (I don't think we sold out many places last season except perhaps QPR/Watford).

We're almost certainly going to have had the fourth highest away following in League One this season - behind Derby, Portsmouth and Bolton. Burton will be a lot of fun, especially now it's not going to be a tense six pointer.

It's been an incredible season for away followings. Hope it continues next season.

Cheltenham can definitely stay up after their win at Burton especially if we also go there and win. I quite enjoyed going there at Christmas time.

So we had exactly 800 fans at Barnsley. 1700 going Saturday and maybe a few in the home end too. Shame some of the away ends are tinpot with small stands or we'd have brought even more fans.

If the top 3 are promoted above us on away support I'll argue we have the best backing. Easy to take big followings when you're doing well. I expect us to be near the top again next season.

I will be delayed in getting the final update of the season up. My desktop PSU suddenly started sounding like a jet engine this morning, so I won’t be using my desktop until that has been resolved. I think it’s a fan bearing issue, so could be easily fixed, but could be more serious.

I won’t attempt a fix myself due to the high risk of electrocution from the capacitors, which can hold a very large charge for a number of weeks after being disconnected from the mains. I also don’t have replacement parts.

My local repair shop isn’t open until Monday, so that will be the earliest I’ll be able to do anything. Will potentially be the following week if I have to purchase a new power supply.

Hopefully every following from today will be published by the time it’s sorted.

Had the desktop for about five years now and I bought from a recycling company, who appear to have put together 3+ year old second hand components (I've only had to upgrade the graphics card). Still quite a powerful thing though, as it used components that were top of the range when they came out.

My desktop is the only viable thing to use, as I can't really edit spreadsheets well on a tablet and then post across.

Did attempt to oil the fan, but doesn't seem to have made a huge difference (probably as I couldn't actually get to the bearing). Currently rammed a plastic stick in the fan to stop it spinning (and making noise) and got a desk fan blowing in to it to keep it cool whilst I search for a replacement.

Currently rammed a plastic stick in the fan to stop it spinning (and making noise) and got a desk fan blowing in to it to keep it cool whilst I search for a replacement.

Replaced my CPU fan a while back. Was remarkably easy.

I wish. Had the desktop for about five years now and I bought from a recycling company, who appear to have put together 3+ year old second hand components (I've only had to upgrade the graphics card). Still quite a powerful thing though, as it used components that were top of the range when they came out.

My desktop is the only viable thing to use, as I can't really edit spreadsheets well on a tablet and then post across.

Did attempt to oil the fan, but doesn't seem to have made a huge difference (probably as I couldn't actually get to the bearing). I've refitted a CPU fan in the past and was easy, as you say. Sadly the PSU's fan is soldered to the circuit board, as I would just replace the fan. I haven't soldered for about ten years and don't have the correct equipment to do it either.

I've bit the bullet and ordered a new one; will keep the old one around as a back up though. My order should be with me by tomorrow or Wednesday. It has a five year manufacturer's warranty, so any issues going forward would be their issue. Should be much more power efficient than my current one too. Hopefully I'll have no issues with it.
