Great away day. Lovely weather, motorways clear, parking right outside the away end, epic pie & mushy peas, good performance, comeback win with a late winner, home by 8:30.

Thought we dominated the first half and should have been at least one up - stunning stop by Tickle from Garcia's volley. The Wigan goal was a real sucker punch as they never threatened us in open play. Lovely goal from Wareham, who was a real handful when he got the ball on the deck, and the winner from Tyler was richly deserved. Looked better after we made the subs: Bodin offered little, delivered less and looked like a competition winner. MoM was Savage in possibly his best game in the shirt and the pass into Wareham for the equalizer was exquisite.

Finally, it was great to see Yids back out on the pitch. Timely, given that Craig is out for the season.

Good result yesterday, especially coming from behind and not having Craig, Campbell and Ehibhatiomhan.

Fantastic to see Yiadom return, especially as it seems Craig is going to be out for the rest of the season. Rushesha had a fairly solid game though. This was another match showing the importance of the Mbengue and Bindon partnership - both continue to show how good they are in League One.

Wareham looks to be improving and took his goal very well.

Feels like we're seriously going to challenge for the play-offs this season.

BFTG. First half we dominated but no real chances except for some poor shots and a looping deflection. We seemed to control possession but didnt look as if we'd ever score. It was inevitable that Wigan would score from a corner, a free header with no marker.

I was surprised by the fight back and then the winner, but we deserved it. The team seemed to really enjoy the win, a great result. The away end atmosphere was poor, but on the plus side I managed to stuff down 2 pies (Chicken Balti and Chicken and gravy ftw).

My MOTM was Binden, as Ian asked Bodin was poor.

Swan & Railway was excellent, 7-8 options on cask. Wigan Central the other side of the arches looked great, but was absolutely rammed, so we moved onto the John Bull Chop House. Solid with a decent jukebox, plus its neighbour is a cracking pie shop. Meat and Potato pie £3. With mushy peas and thick gravy £3.90. Go on then. There appeared to be another 5 or 6 well reviewed pubs north of JBCH, but our train back to Manchester was calling. Would definitely do again.

I was in the John Bull post match, it was rammed at 6pm. The Tim Taylor Boltmaker was decent.
