Am I the only conspiracy theorist that worries that the club aren't being straight with us about this one? I am beginning to think we might never see Kitson in the hoops again personally.....

OK.
In treating Medial Collateral Ligament injuries of the knee, you have to concentrate heavily on working the hamstring muscles. Most notably the hamstring muscles called semitendinosis and semimembranosis.
These muscles act as "splints" to protect the MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) and it is quite usual to get a little tendonitis during the early stages of returning to training.
While it is unlucky that he has suffered this injury, it is not entirely unexpected and I do not believe any conspiracy theories.
He will return..... one day

Is it just me or are there others who get sick of reading 'we need more strikers in January' etc etc etc etc.

I guarantee you all that nearly every club in the country have hob nobbers saying the same thing.

Goals are going in, we're winning games and we're 8TH in the table. The season is going FANTASTICALLY well !

Lets leave it to Sir Steve, he's done it right so far. Remember he has the budgets in control. Don't panic into big money buys. LEEDS ??

How does this account for the torn hamstring being in the other leg?

Over-compensating through his injury, therefore putting more strain on his uninjured leg. This would not necessarily strengthen it, more likely he would move it in an unnatural fashion therefore weakening the muscle. One overstretch and "pop goes the hamstring".

Over-compensating when you take a sharp bend on the roads of Twyford can lead you to mount the verge in an unnatural fashion therefore endangering nearby wildlife. One oversteer and "pop goes the weasel".

Most of them do although actually navigating some of them seems to be a job for wizzkids of which I am not one !

ManU, SheffU, Liverpool seem to be easiest. I go through Google, enter xxxxx f c fans forum and go from there.

Some of the sites are a test. Reckon Reading Internet is one of the best to use

I think there is a bit of a difference between us and other clubs - we have extremely limited cover. Would you really feel so positive if Doyle picks up an injury?

To be fair I'm not sure there are many clubs who can build a squad to cover the loss of their 2 first choice strikers with players of equal ( or near as dammit ) ability. If Man Utd were to lose Saha & Rooney or Arsenal lost Henry & Van Persie their fans would certainly argue that their cover for those are also extremely limited & these are 2 of the wealthiest and successful clubs in Europe.

To be honest i think most of us agree that it's more a target/link forward to cover Kitson that we need rather than an out and out striker. Interestingly Saturday, with Seol in that position was the most fluent and creative our passing and movement has been all season. Whilst i realise it was only 1 game, against a poor side ( and i'm not sure Seol would necessarily be the answer in the tougher away fixtures ) it still suggests that we might not be quite as badly off as we think

Having said that, I've no doubt that the club are aware of the potential problem ( playing Bikey up front in the recent behind closed doors game would indicate that ) but the Dean Ashtons & Dave Kitsons for that matter, of this World are not exactly growing on trees and certainly don't come cheap.

I also believe that Coppell is convinced that Shane Long can make it at this level but is desperate to loan him out to get games under his belt as the learning curve is very steep for him at the moment. That being the case then we maybe looking at doing a short term deal in January in order to free him up.

Couldn't agree more.

Just about everyone who has come in for injuries has done well yet still so many trot out the same line about us having very little cover.

As you say, we need cover for Kitson and, although we will obviously look to strengthen in January, this is the only significant weakness, which we've coped with since the opening day of the season........................."don't panic" as a certain Corporal used to say
