Probably way too late…Extended-Phenotype wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 15:37 Isn’t that likely going to be a bit too soon for us to do anything with? I doubt we just get an envelope through the letterbox filled with cash the minute Brighton sign him.
I agree with the overall sentiment, but I’d say that Earthy is definitely in the ‘first 11’ and I’m expecting Knight to eventually be there.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 19:47 A measure of a good squad is the strength of a second XI, and you have to say we're measuring up well now.
Stevens
Ahmed/Abrefa Masterson Knight Dorsett
Fraser Savage
Williams Earthy Lane
Reid
Plus Jacob Brown in the mix and some academy players on the fringe. I can't remember the last time we had this much depth.
Yes it’s solid and I’d have no issues with any of those startingDoc wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 20:50I agree with the overall sentiment, but I’d say that Earthy is definitely in the ‘first 11’ and I’m expecting Knight to eventually be there.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 19:47 A measure of a good squad is the strength of a second XI, and you have to say we're measuring up well now.

A little depressing as well with only "one of our own" if you just pick one 2nd team right-back.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 19:47 A measure of a good squad is the strength of a second XI, and you have to say we're measuring up well now.

Dorsett and Stevens too. All be it Stevens was released and resigned.
I had rather hoped that Dorsett would have gone during the window.Esteban wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 22:52South Coast Royal wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 21:48A little depressing as well with only "one of our own" if you just pick one 2nd team right-back.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑01 Sep 2026 19:47 A measure of a good squad is the strength of a second XI, and you have to say we're measuring up well now.

We have Roberts - Dorsett - Ward - Abrefa - Lane - Ryan
Think going forward we should just wait until Peterborough identify the next CF they are going to buy from non-league and guzump them. Their success rate of finding gems in the lower leagues is outstanding, and I have no doubt Danny Ormerod will be another gem.
Some odd positions there! Kyerewaa is not a FW like Marriott and Reid, he’s a winger. Why FW for Marriott and Reid but CF for Brown and Patton? In Richardson’s 4-2-3-1 / 3-4-2-1 Fraser is no more defensive than Wing/Savage/Rinomhota.Sutekh wrote: ↑02 Sep 2026 16:10 Pos - Name - Parent Contract Expiry Year

Ryan? Is there another one I am unaware of. That leaves only Roberts as an actual left back. If he ever gets fit enough to play again.
