14 Feb 2025 21:13Actually, that passed me by as well, although I had noticed that he sometimes only uses the first part of his triple-barrelled surname. Anyway, the red card was for two yellows, which possibly means he is suspended for the semi-final, which will be against Liverpool, West Ham or Derby.Royals and Racers wrote:Thanks - he is of course Coke-Miles -Smith, who i didn’t realise was playing as i would have listed his proper name. The Cube wrote:Kiyan Smith sent off at 118 minutes.Royals and Racers wrote:Reading 0 Everton 1 1 min

14 Feb 2025 21:57On a different topic Jacob Borgnis has a younger brother called Tobias who is a goalkeeper with the Royals academy and was the sub keeper for the U 18’s last Saturday. The Cube wrote:Actually, that passed me by as well, although I had noticed that he sometimes only uses the first part of his triple-barrelled surname. Other news - Tyler Adjei started on the bench as England U15 beat Turkey 8-0 this afternoon. I don't yet know if he got on the pitch, but he was not one of the goalscorers. The two teams play again on Sunday, so there's a good chance he will start then.

16 Feb 2025 08:22That’ll distract officials esp. when in the same teams as Coke-Miles-Smith, they’ll spend ages counting the players at every opportunity just to make sure.SCIAG wrote:That's Tobias Hammond-Chambers-BorgnisRoyals and Racers wrote:On a different topic Jacob Borgnis has a younger brother called Tobias who is a goalkeeper with the Royals academy and was the sub keeper for the U 18’s last Saturday. The Cube wrote: Actually, that passed me by as well, although I had noticed that he sometimes only uses the first part of his triple-barrelled surname. 17 Feb 2025 00:44In Sunday's England U15 match Adjei was on the bench, the only outfield player in the squad not to make a start in one of the two games. Again I don't know if he got on, but England won 3-0 and he neither scored nor assisted the goals. The Cube wrote:Tyler Adjei started on the bench as England U15 beat Turkey 8-0 this afternoon. 17 Feb 2025 11:27There is a law change on the table that limits teams to 34 names in their match days squad to avoid this crazy name inflation. If you have a triple barrelled player you’ll need to single surname to offset it.Sutekh wrote:That’ll distract officials esp. when in the same teams as Coke-Miles-Smith, they’ll spend ages counting the players at every opportunity just to make sure.SCIAG wrote:That's Tobias Hammond-Chambers-BorgnisRoyals and Racers wrote: On a different topic Jacob Borgnis has a younger brother called Tobias who is a goalkeeper with the Royals academy and was the sub keeper for the U 18’s last Saturday.

Will only be a matter of time before we see players with a dozen hyphenated names…..

18 Feb 2025 09:37Good to see we won and that's a much stronger squad than we've played at U21 level for a while. Good to see Yiadom, Abrefa, Holzman, Kanu, Rushesha, Bodin and Akande all get good minutes to hopefully boost their fitness - as a number of these (especially thinking Abrefa and Bodin) should be considered starting against Birmingham.Royals and Racers wrote:Boyce-ClarkeRoyals and Racers wrote:Next up for the U 21’s is an long away trip on Monday 17th February to play Sunderland in a Pl 2 fixture KO 7pm.
