I can't see the play offs being delayed, personally. Players will have already booked their holidays etc - they need a break before pre-season training etc. Leaving it as late as mid-to-late June would be nonsense.

Svlad Cjelli I still reckon a points deduction NEXT season is the best way out of all this mess.

Would they allow themselves to get to the Prem with negative points. I'm not so sure the club would accept that and play with enough confidence to avoid the drop.

I'm not sure this could happen - it's a not significant blow to the prestige of the Premiership product to have one relegatino place effectively decided before ball 1 is kicked.

But at least 10 clubs in the PL would welcome it, as it makes them less likely to be relegated. And if the FA decide it then there's nothing the PL can do to stop it.

Just read Taraabt as saying the team don't blame Faurlin
but that to have the title taken off them would destroy him (Taraabt)

Adel Taarabt says QPR players have absolved Alejandro Faurlin of any blame over their potential points deduction. The R's have been promoted to the Premier League - but that could be blocked by the FA over Faurlin's third party move to Loftus Road.Taarabt admitted to the Daily Mail: "The first few days, Ali was a little bit worried because he thought the lads would blame him - but we told him it is not his fault. He has been brilliant all season and you can't deny that. He deserves to be in the Premier League as well. If promotion is to be taken away from us by the FA, it would destroy me and...

Why would it be his fault?

Anything they're found guilty of is clearly the fault of the club's owners and the administrators, not any of the players (or the supporters).

Bloody confusing who has the power to do what in football....

I assumed (and said as much earlier in the thread) that there was no way the PL would accept a points deduction for one of their members next season as it would make a mockery of the league and mean that the club could / would sell their best players to cash in on £60m + parachutes. Their plan would just be to save as much money as possible, sell players, operate with a sub-standard squad, get relegated, then invest whatever remains of the £60m + Yr 1 parachute in a major push to go straight back up. (But if the FA decide to do it seems the PL can't challenge it...?)

(Can't see the temperamental Taarabt staying there if he knows they are certs for relegation before a ball is kicked. And that sort of whipping boy role is not one I can see Warnock seeing out for a whole season.)

Sod buggering about with the play offs - 1 or 2 division relegation is the best solution if found guilty.

On Matt Slaters blog on the BBC he says :-

Cards on table time. In recent weeks, I too have had a conversation with an FA source that has gone in broadly the same direction as the one reported by The Sun last Friday.

In case you missed it, this is the conversation that implied QPR were guilty of breaching FA rules and risked losing 15 points from their table-topping total. This would deprive Rangers of silverware and any return to the Premier League would have to be via the treacherous paths of the play-offs.

This massively complicates things - if QPR can prove that someone in the FA has been leaking they effectively can prove that the issue has be pre-judged before the hearing takes place - and that gives them a whole other avenue of appeal.

Thoroughly bored with this now, thoroughly bored with off-field technicalities ruining the season, thoroughly bored with shady dealings and the lack of transparency in football. If the FA have leaked then this goes to prove once and for all that they are not fit for purpose. Tbh, just dock QPR 15 points and then ban all Championship teams from promotion this season - they're all crap anyway - to avoid the tedious claim and counter-claim to come.

It won't be a 15 point deduction now - relegation of 1 or 2 divisions fits the bill nicely.

Aren't they giving an idea of what sort of sentence might be handed down if they're found guilty, which is of course up to the tribunal to decide?

My favourite quote from the weekend was Tommy 'Medical' Smith on Radio 5 after the game, saying that "hopefully it will be just a fine". Towing the not-guilty party line like a Cable in Coalition

Meanwhile Norwich are now 5/4 to be champions on betfair, the price has been shortening all morning.

If you are certain QPR will only be fined, £100 bet will return £177 on QPR, a nice return if you are that sure.

If they are found guilty (of which no guarantee), has to be 10 points. Luton is a precedent, as are the penalties for going into administration.

Would suddenly make the last game of the season very interesting with QPR, Cardiff & Swansea battling over automatic promotion.

Really a bit for the FA. Whatever they do won't be enough for some people.

But that only applies to the "unlicensed agent" charge.

Lutons unlicensed agent points deduction is not a precedent, palios was wrong on that. Bristol City were fined around 60k for using an unlicensed agent last year, the Luton case over 6 different agents, the QPR one the agent was licensed with FIFA but not with the FA at the time, that will probably be a fine and from what little has come out about the case from our end it sounds like we are pleading guilty to that one.

I think the big problem we have to worry about is the lying on the paperwork, if we did that then it will be a points deduction. I reckon they might do us for 5 points and a big fine if we are guilty which probably takes the title away from us but like everyone at that the moment I'm only guessing. So much rumour at the moment no one knows the real story, Simon Jordan actually explained it well on talksport this morning, the big cock up we made was boasting we had spent £3.5million on Faurlin when he was a free transfer so the FA want to know where that money went.

as for the leaks at the FA that has left them wide open to a high court challenge should they take promotion from us as the club can claim they got an unfair hearing.
