Abbey and Holmes subject to several offers from clubs which have been accepted by the club

Selles and Bowen knew nothing about it until informed by Pang a day or so ago.

Transfers not definitely confirmed as yet because terms need to be agreed etc. but neither player is going to turn down these opportunities. One club concerned is in the PL but club hasn't confirmed which offers have been accepted.

Really feeling for Selles in all this.

Say what you like about Selles but he's been as screwed over as anyone and would be within hie rights to walk. He is being honest with the supporters and trying his best for us. He deserved a lot of credit imo.

It's a no brainer for Selles really though isn't it? . His on field mistakes will get masked more and more by the chaos off the field. If he sticks around his stock won't go down and there's every chance he'll get another chance somewhere else.

There may be an element that Bowen is actively involved in negotiations so is staying away so he can't slip up and disclose something covered by NDA, and maybe doesn't have to actively lie to avoid doing so.

But yes, Selles being there makes sense in terms of post match interviews, but after an abandonment it should be Bowen.

As for Selles, I'm sure he's a lovely guy. As was Gomes, and apparently Paunovic, and probably Clement.

his “on field mistakes” recently have seen him become a manager, and us almost claw our way out of a ten point deficit….we might, just might (with his learning curve and upward trajectory) be onto something good for a couple of years yet….if he wants it of course.

I can't honestly even say that our players shouldn't leave, looking at the state of the club right now. They've been professional, they've played well and done more than was asked of them, if they can go on to play at a higher level, they absolutely should.

No ill will towards them, they don't owe us anything, good luck to anyone who moves on this window.

Worth noting that neither are confirmed - Selles said Holmes has been given time by the club (/him) to make a decision while Abbey doesn’t want to leave despite being subject to bids from numerous clubs globally.

Perhaps there’s little downside to them staying (unless they’re bored of microwave meals).

If they stay now there’s a chance we get sold and they’re heroes at the club they grew up with for sticking it out through thick and thin.

If we don’t get sold and the club ceases to exits perhaps they reckon they can get more as free agents without a fee attached?

Feels to me like they’re closer to history where they are than on a (soon to be) Championship side, which they could both easily be in summer anyway.

Plus, they must be super pissed at Dai and not going is a middle finger up to him.

agree, luckily we appear to have a manager that wants to defeat the odds (wether that be for his own long-term credentials, or his loyalty to the actual club and its employees, who cares?) good on him.
