At the minute we’re just helping each other out.”
Sign him on a 7 day deal and give him a start v Bromley and if he does alright, given him a longer deal.morganb wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 20:00https://x.com/i/status/2083891434390745284Richardson on Masterson trialing for #ReadingFC yesterday:

On paper sounds good but would that hamper him a bit - can only play for 2 clubs in a season can’t you? Or am I imagining thatStranded wrote: ↑03 Aug 2026 08:45Sign him on a 7 day deal and give him a start v Bromley and if he does alright, given him a longer deal.morganb wrote: ↑02 Aug 2026 20:00https://x.com/i/status/2083891434390745284Richardson on Masterson trialing for #ReadingFC yesterday:

Yes you can but at 27, I imagine whatever club he ends up he's unlikely to then head out on loan - so may be a risk worth taking from his side, depending on what offers he has on the table and who else (if anyone) we sign in his position.
I can only assume he lives locally if we have no intention of signing him.yuomi wrote: ↑19 Aug 2026 11:08 Another denial from Chronicle Ramy that he's signing after he attended last night.

Maybe he is hoping if he hangs around long enough options will dwindle and they will give him a contract for the season as back up.Stranded wrote: ↑19 Aug 2026 12:50I can only assume he lives locally if we have no intention of signing him.yuomi wrote: ↑19 Aug 2026 11:08 Another denial from Chronicle Ramy that he's signing after he attended last night.

Hmm Scarr is a unit but another Paudie, I'd like someone with more pace as that's where we will continually get done with balls in behindblythspartan wrote: ↑20 Aug 2026 07:07 I think he could be okay as a backup. However, I have convinced myself we’re going to sign Dan Scarr as he’d be an ideal replacement for Williams. We’ve been linked with him before and he’s in the last year of his contract.
Was pleasantly surprised with how rapid Beacroft looked on Tuesday. It's frustrating because we're probably too light on numbers to get him the loan he needs this season.southcote89 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2026 10:09Hmm Scarr is a unit but another Paudie, I'd like someone with more pace as that's where we will continually get done with balls in behindblythspartan wrote: ↑20 Aug 2026 07:07 I think he could be okay as a backup. I know what you mean although we do have Ward. Do you think if we can keep Dokes and Roberts fit that could help to negate the problem. As much as I like pace I do like a big CB who reads the game well and has good positional awareness.southcote89 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2026 10:09Hmm Scarr is a unit but another Paudie, I'd like someone with more pace as that's where we will continually get done with balls in behindblythspartan wrote: ↑20 Aug 2026 07:07 I think he could be okay as a backup.
