The big question is availablity but if he is in our price range then he is just the kind of player we should be signing - able to have an impact now but at 21 only going to improve.jonnyroyal1871 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2026 17:29 The 21 year old Sierra Leone international has been mentioned enough times to warrant his own thread. Just 1 in 20 for the Addicks the last time round in L1 which is concerning - but 18 in 44 at Walsall looks a lot better, Walsall started that season on fire. Clearly a good footballer with potential, but is he the striker we need now, not potential - but ready to join Jack, or step in for him. We need a 1st team ready striker. Is he the one? Is he even available.....
No, he’s Abraham’s brother
Hmmm "at 21 only going to improve" as if that is guaranteed.Stranded wrote: ↑25 Aug 2026 08:05The big question is availablity but if he is in our price range then he is just the kind of player we should be signing - able to have an impact now but at 21 only going to improve.jonnyroyal1871 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2026 17:29 The 21 year old Sierra Leone international has been mentioned enough times to warrant his own thread. His record over his career to date is a goal every 212 mins or a goal/assist every 177 mins. So if he keeps that form he will be involved in a goal every other game (in terms of mins on the pitch).
He's 8cm taller than Marriott so would give defenders something else to thing about if he comes off the bench for JM in the last 25mins.
Personally see very few downsides to a perm deal, if it happens.

It doesn't always happen-I give you big Kelvin E.and the lad who scored at Birmingham (or was it Walsall?) on his debut and is now nowhere to be seen.
Jahmari Clarke scored twice against Birmingham in the league, him instead?Sutekh wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 11:44Nahum Melvin-Lambert, now apparently getting a name for himself in non-leagueSouth Coast Royal wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 10:41Hmmm "at 21 only going to improve" as if that is guaranteed.Stranded wrote: ↑25 Aug 2026 08:05

Jahmari Clarke - he's currently "ripping up" the Jamaican Premier League - well scored 6 goals mainly from the bench for Montego Bay United.South Coast Royal wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 10:41Hmmm "at 21 only going to improve" as if that is guaranteed.Stranded wrote: ↑25 Aug 2026 08:05The big question is availablity but if he is in our price range then he is just the kind of player we should be signing - able to have an impact now but at 21 only going to improve.jonnyroyal1871 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2026 17:29 The 21 year old Sierra Leone international has been mentioned enough times to warrant his own thread. Yes, of course! Getting confused, sure Nahum did something in a Reading shirt before leaving, more like they were just both pretty forgettable and left around the same time.Doc wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 11:54Jahmari Clarke scored twice against Birmingham in the league, him instead?Sutekh wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 11:44Nahum Melvin-Lambert, now apparently getting a name for himself in non-leagueSouth Coast Royal wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 10:41

You're just showing a lack of ambition though.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 16:46 Who the hell do Charlton think they are trying to get £1m for a lad with <100 professional starts, only 7 L1 goals and who spent his most recent season in L2?
Jog on.
Edit: and only 1 year left on his deal. If I were Couhig/JJ, I would never agree to meet it.
It’s more than half the battle if the player concerned truly does favour Reading as he and his agent can apply pressure to Charlton to come to an agreement as well, and if his agent has other Charlton players on his books….WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑26 Aug 2026 16:46 Who the hell do Charlton think they are trying to get £1m for a lad with <100 professional starts, only 7 L1 goals and who spent his most recent season in L2?
