I think it was better than expected, but mostly because we kept Savage, Pereira and Wing who I thought could have left.

Time will tell whether the additions to the squad are any good but we certainly needed some experienced CBs and more striking options - which we got.

Agreed, better than expected as assumed we would lose more of our key players. Surprised Savage still with us given how many teams he seemed to be linked with but maybe that was agent noise.

Incomings feel adequate but no more and don’t scream promotion charge but should at least keep us solidly mid table.

Can we still add loans? There may be young players further up the league who we might benefit from adding, though our record with these last season was decidedly mixed.

Looks OK on the list. Time will tell whether it's been a good window or not.
Jamie Reid is an interesting one. Many Stevenage fans thinking he is a good buy for us and others saying he had 3good seasons and fell off a cliff last year .... Maybe that's a blip hopefully, but he has had hamstring issues which may have been the cause of that form loss. Get him fit and he will could well be a big success.

Agree with above posters; time will tell as several players we've hardly seen yet. On paper I'd rate between OK and good.

Of those we've seen a bit of I'd say Dokes & Lisbie are good signings but not sure yet re Stokes & Brown.

Given there was a realistic fear of a squad gutting and a less realistic fear of chaos or some sort of studied zen paralysis, it’s come out ok, right?

Some players will do better than expected, some worse, but all the key spots covered or reinforced. Few young faces, few experienced faces.

Although there is much of a muchness in terms of ability across the squad we should be able to cope ok with the inevitable plethora of injuries.
Little fear of relegation merely because of the numbers now on board and their similar levels of ability (apart from Marriott of course).

I think the big hope is Earthy and if he comes up trumps it could be quite a good season and with his anticipated passing ability we may even become more of a passing side, making matches a more enjoyable watch.
So for me it becomes a decent transfer window if he comes good.

I'm quietly excited by Earthy. The squad is good enough to build upon if we're doing well after Christmas.

We have added genuine L1 depth to the squad and have decent cover in most positions.

IF Marriot stays fit, we could be looking at top 10 and even pushing for the play offs.

All things considered, a good window. Had we signed a starting left back, a very good window.

However, held up against the backdrop of the owners constantly saying promotion is our only measure of success this season, it's not good enough. Pity, as we have largely improved the squad and signed starting players in key positions.

Still think we need a LB but with only Kelvin leaving, the list of players in looks better than the list of players out and we've kept hold of key players so a much better window than I feared might be the case.
