31 Jan 2007 16:59It is something we probably need to take advice on as our resources are nothing like those of a paper. But in essence I personally think we should defend our players.handbags_harris wrote:Just a quick query. With the persistent referrals to Stephen Hunt, and the consistent implications Oliver Holt makes in his column in the Daily Mirror, does STAR have a view on the situation bearing in mind Stephen Hunt doesn't have a means of defending himself personally, the fact that there is no conclusive evidence to suggest that Stephen Hunt deliberately fractured Petr Chech's skull (a fact the FA back up with their findings) and the fact that Oliver Holt's comments are in essence bordering on the libellous?
Also, will STAR (or indeed RFC) be making any attempt to prevent Oliver Holt's persistent comments from occurring again??
Agreed, players should be defended by the PFA, Club and their own players.Royal Rother wrote:Shouldn't this be a role the PFA should play, if anyone?
He'd love that publicity and probably run a series of articles on all the attention. ROYALS BOYCOTT THE MIRROR !!Forbury Lion wrote:Agreed, players should be defended by the PFA, Club and their own players.Royal Rother wrote:Shouldn't this be a role the PFA should play, if anyone?
However a complaint from STAR to the newspaper can't do any harm.
