He’s an average shot stopper and he might have a worldie once in every 20 or so games, but he’s one of the most unnatural goalkeepers I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t look comfortable in goal.
That gives me the Simon Shephard's.Pepe the Horseman wrote:On paper he's a decent signing. Although just had this from my Villa supporting m8![]()

As Ince pointed out in an interview, we can only sign free transfers which means by and large for outfield players, they've been without a club for 6 months so won't be match ready until after Easter.PATRIQT wrote:Another keeper. Don't worry about the defence, the defence is fine.

Do agree with this but it also leaves me wondering how players like this end up without a club. How has he not really been an option for anyone? He's played eight league games in nearly three years (and six times for Norway in that period).Stranded wrote:Find very little to complain about with this signing.
Experience in the Premier League, Championship, Bundesliga and in European football. 33 caps for Norway including being the #1 for the last 5 WC qualifiers.
Would struggle to find a better keeper available as a free agent at this stage of a season. Could be a very shrewd signing (or total crap).
Listening to the interview, he got an injury fairly early on in the season but was #2 behind Travers for most of it. Bournemough signed Woodman at the end of the window, so he moved on to try and get 1st team football somewhere else. Was #2 at Norwich last year as well.Sanguine wrote:Do agree with this but it also leaves me wondering how players like this end up without a club. How has he not really been an option for anyone? Useful info your forthcoming pre match presentations where I hope to see a return to your full bodied gallows humour.Sutekh wrote:6’4”, 31 years old and has started Norway’s last few WC qualifiers
Should fit right in with the rest of the squad as has had a calf injury which is why he was let go by Bournemouth in January. Presuming he is now over that of course otherwise I’m sure the club wouldn’t have signed him.
Has made 1 league appearance in 2 years.
Please don’t. I’m getting some nasty flashbacks that I thought heavy drinking and the passage of time had got rid of!PATRIQT wrote:That gives me the Simon Shephard's.Pepe the Horseman wrote:On paper he's a decent signing. Although just had this from my Villa supporting m8![]()

Should get a warm reception at Bramall Lane next month then.Sanguine wrote:Fwiw Nyland was in goal for Villa on the day goal-line technology failed and screwed over Sheff Utd.
